He must have told the lads at HT they’re playing to get to the Carabao Cup final.
Tactical masterclass
By Hitch Go To PostYou're not hard done by if your players are being fucking idiots.
What I was thinking. Errors all over in that second half.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostFantastic to see everyone ruling us outYeah I don't know what they're smoking to assume chelsea are in the final

It's only because of the away goal. We have a slight advantage but that's it.
By n8 dogg Go To PostBreh did you see the game literally last week? They will not be able to break you down. Needed a fluke and two shit keeper mistakes to win tonight against a bad defence.I actually did not lol. Cup game though so I wouldn’t look into it much. Yesterday we played Madrid off the park for most of the first half and still didn’t win... not optimistic.
Immense talent.
Must also remember he’s in a new domestic league, playing in a Pep team where we typically see players struggle in the first season and begin to adapt in their second and he’s only 23 years old.

Why should Dias' CL performances matter for a domestic award?
Or am I misunderstanding the criteria for FOTY

By Dan Go To PostIt’s a good job football is played on the pitch and not with pretty graphics and acronyms like xG.As soon as football was bought off the pitch with fake money and cheating the football on the pitch became meaningless.

What happens on the pitch correlates to xG, Dan.

Have Man City fans not worked out yet whatever they do on the pitch will always be meaningless because of how they got there.
xg only exists to laugh at brighton, leave it out lads
By Doicare Go To PostHave Man City fans not worked out yet whatever they do on the pitch will always be meaningless because of how they got there.never gonna be meaningless as long as we have your meltdowns
Think Pep got away with his starting XI tonight. More specifically, not starting a striker. Good few times City got the ball in some great positions but had no one in the middle, PSG were equally as wasteful but at least you can;t say they hamstrung themselves by playing Veratti as their striker. Awful goals for PSG to concede, Poch must be absolutely fuming.
Still, City really played quite well I think and it's theirs to lose now (the tie and the competition).

That second goal was just bizarre. It was paradoxically a rubbish free kick and also a scarily accurate one.

Both goals were bizarre, so for both to come within 7 mins of each other....in a CL semi final. Fuck me. Like I said....Pep got away with one there, but I don't think this tie is over.
From my expert pov
Game was fairly equal, psg better in the first half, score a goal. Average first half from city.
Second half poch for some reason sends psg out to play different and defend the lead, pep puts FoGod central and zinchenko does well to stabilise the game when he's subbed in. City score fairly fortunate goals
The lesson we learned here is one that many managers of today need to learn. Stop trying to park the bus or defend a lead when your team doesn't know how to. You're inviting pressure unnecessarily.

Job done tonight squashing The Strongest 4-0 at home as we should.
Copa Libertadores Group C:
1) Barcelona SC 6 points, +6 goal difference
2) Boca Juniors 6 points, +3 goal difference
3) Santos 0 points, -4 goal difference
4) The Strongest 0 points, -5 goal difference
Tasty top of the group cigarettes. Big big game against Boca at home next Tuesday. I'm taking off work to watch it. My excuse will be I feel symptoms from my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine I'm getting Monday.
