I didn’t hide my feelings when I stated I didn’t want Arteta and wanted Allegri at all costs. However, the club went with Arteta as part of a rebuild and they need to give him time. Allegri would sort out some problems, but he isn’t someone you build a prohect around, which the club seems to want with Arteta.
It is a painful time for Arsenal right now, but I am willing to endure d on the signs of improvement here and there. However, if we are having the same discussion about Arteta this time next year then it will be time to go in another direction.

I know people can overstate the importance of captains, but I wouldn't be at all happy to have Aubemyang captaining the team I support.
Both true. There's zero pressure for results at Arsenal since the final years of Wenger. Mediocrity is rewarded here.
Look at Holding. He had a couple of good games this season, we gave him a new 3 years contract. He's nowhere near good enough for us, absolute nothing player, overrated as fuck. We also gave Xhaka a new contract after his first year, and that repeats for almost all of our average players. We kept fucking Jenkinson on our payroll for almost a decade for fuck sake.
Auba is a joke as captain. The only player in the squad right now that have that on him is probably Tierney.
I wanted to see we change our philosophy and be as ruthless as the Chelsea board are, for example. The managerial swap changed their season for the better. It's almost always like that with them. Players know heads will roll if you don't deliver.
Arsenal are paradise. Great wages, no pressure to deliver.
