The Death of Football Thread | April '21 | Years of being an absolute piece of shit
It's a thread about low-block, beat-em-with-a-set-piece, hold-and-give but at the right time, football
4 day weekend lads. Anybody doing anything incredibly exciting?
Reckon I'll be doing a lot of being drunk/hungover and gorging on the footy. So the usual.

As everything is becoming one big weekend to me, I'm probably going to jerk off a lot, watch some scrubs and play disco elysium. Then go to bed at 4 am

Even though it’s only once a month I have delete the old thread from my favourites and add a new one it’s still annoying

Genuinely difficult to tell - I was reading how high-end stats analysts reckon figuring out which CBs are actually good to be one of the holy grails. I like what I've seen of him so far though. Very good on the ball and left footed.
Barca trying for Haaland is some headstrong stupidity. I suppose with FFP probably going away, and UEFA likely never having the stones to ban them, but their finances are dire

They'll probably try and pay in signed Messi shirts and Nou Camp season tickets. Would be funny if Mino forced Haaland to sign for the most obvious sinking ship out there.

how many times have you seen scrubs by now, wooden?

Rehashing the end of the article here but people forget how ubiquitous - and rigid - 442 was from the late 90s to mid-00s. When you think of most big teams in this era, they had a destroyer and a box-to-box man in the middle.
After Houllier died, I watched a Liverpool-Barça game from 2001 and even Barça were playing 442 a style that's almost unrecognisable today. I'm not even sure if Scholes would've been more valued at Real or Barça at this stage.
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostSounds like Dortmund are setting the price for Haaland at €150m.Things I've read today, Dortmund wants 180 but Barcelona won't go above 150 and also that Dortmund don't want to sell him this summer.
By bud Go To Posthow many times have you seen scrubs by now, wooden?
All of it from beginning to end, only once. Caught episodes again here and there though, back when people actually watched TV, and watched the musical a million times cause I loved it. Long time ago I've seen any of it though, forgot so much. It's so fucking good. Jai bhole ki.

By FortuneFaded Go To Postlol this seasons injuries have been just booonnkkkkerrssss
By Cleff Go To PostProbably a sensible move. Gerrard will surely move to a bigger club soon, making Celtic's league titles assured, but Rangers seeming like their good again will make it seem like he's done a great job. Then he can target a bigger club than Sheffield Utd or WBA

That's kind of stupid, why bring in random people and not fans

yeah but normally test runs should be as close to the real thing as possible no
would 4000 people even be willing to pay to go see 2 teams they have no connection to? Maybe this is something unique to the UK

4,000 people isn't that many. A drop in the bucket tbh. I am sure there are plenty of people just dying to go to a game again -- you get tens of thousands who come to the friendly tours in America and many are not necessarily fans of either team, it's just a chance to see a game in person. That definitely applies here when it's been over a year of waiting.
