Let's make one thing clear: the reason I have most of Rockets-age on ignore is because you offer nothing of value to my life. You are literally worthless to me. So rather than abandon this site due to the overwhelming amount of garbage, I took a simple step offered to me to vastly improve my slaent experience. Don't be mad at me that your posts are a net void upon the universe.

Nah that would still be the Clippers. This is just a forum.
I know it's not for excessive posting either.

What an awesome birthday present.
I feel like we're gonna get destroyed by Curry, regardless, but I hope he brings that energy into the next series.

Warriors are favored to win the series at -1100. Rockets are +700.
Might just throw down $150 for a chance to win $1000+
Might just throw down $150 for a chance to win $1000+
Rockets need Trevor Ariza and Brewer to have huge games to even sniff at a game 6. But this Rockets squad reminds me a bit of the 2011 Mavs.
If i bet i would put money on the Warriors, you know.. for free money.
2011 Mavs had a ridiculous closer, its basically the reason they won it all.

If you like a team, just bet them from game to game. Make more money that way.
By Smokey Go To Postso you would throw down $1100 to win $100Honestly no its not worth it, juts a dickish way to say i really think the dubs will win.
I have to want them to win. Even though i rarely dont root for the underdog, the Warriors built their team mostly though the draft, and as a Jazz fan thats all the hope i have.

Kerr needs to worry about Hack a Bogut and Hack a Igoudala. I doubt he wants Houston to do that.

I'll applaud you for picking the amount of games GS wins though.
Curry v Terry/Prigs
Klay v Ariza
Barnes/Iggy v Harden
Green v Jones/Smith
Bogut v Dwight
I guess Brewer will play some more and guard Klay while Ariza slides over to cover Curry, but with the way Brewer gambles excessively I'm not sure that's a good thing. Klay isn't a great ball handler though so maybe Brewer's aggressiveness will work.
We don't miss DMo as much since he can't post up Green and would rather not guard all the way out to the 3 point line. Except Jones and Smith are both dumb/lazy enough to leave Green open multiple times per game. We'll have to hope he's missing open shots.
Bogut will of course cheap shot Dwight until he gets frustrated and out of his game. They need to be prepared for that.
Klay is a good 1v1 defender but will get lost on a pick, so hopefully Harden leaves the isos for Iggy, Barnes, Livingston, etc. Gonna have to hope those guys are missing too, so Harden can cheat off them and just camp the paint and passing lanes like the past 3 games vs the Clips.
Curry will eat any time Ariza isn't on him. There's nothing to do here so just let him go off but in the midrange & paint instead of outside the arc.

Uh..thekad..
David Lee
Shawn Livingston
Both will also get solid minutes against the Rockets. I also expect Ezeli to get a lot of play time if for no other reason than to use 6 fouls against Dwight.
I remember when Corey dropped 50 on the Lakers. Imo he's going to be Houston's wildcard in this series. I'm more worried about Corey Brewer than I am about Harden.
Yeah, go ahead and give me another one of those "what are you talking about?" gifs.

It's a shame we won't get to see any of this in the playoffs. Jones hasn't played against the Dubs this season. Not sure if he does any better, but I'm curious how he's tweener build would go up against Green. Curious how this version of Dwight goes up against Bogut, too.
By DY_nasty Go To Posti explained it in great fucking detail last week and you did it again like i ain't shit or something.
i mean,
seriously though, it's not hard to shit on each others' teams without being an entire asshole about it. We're among friends, here.
By thekad Go To PostI only listed players who will probably get 25+ minutes. Guys you can actually pin Ws and Ls on.
You're undervaluing bench players, by a lot. Why not include Livingston at least. You included Prigs.
By Trey Go To Posti mean,I was going to go with another routine comment about how he would become a Spurs fan overnight given Aldridge's incoming free agency, but that would have been stale.

Personally thought the Warriors comment would have been a safe one because in all reality, it wasn't a personal attack or insult. At least the way I see it.
By Wahoos007 Go To PostYou're undervaluing bench players, by a lot.Only bench players to be even remotely worried about is Lee, Iggy, or Speights if healthy. Listing Livingston is a stretch considering he's probably just a larger Prigs who can't shoot.
On the defense, get back to me in 2 weeks when Curry/crew are flying back to Oakland for exit interviews.

That can guard Terry, Harden or Ariza. Seriously. You guys really don't give two fucks about defense other than what Dwight can do in the paint and the occasional Harden steal.

Because they split time evenly.

So, Livingston plays the 1 and 2 and plays as many minutes as Prigs.
Clippers play us like it's the NBA Finals and do that against the Rockets.

By Smokey Go To PostIt's an apology tour this morning for the rocketsI don't remember anyone thinking the Pacers would beat the Heat last year.
Most disrespected 2nd seed ever lol
Put this in perspective: The Warriors had 12 less losses than the Rockets, thats the same difference between the #2 seed and the #8 seed in the West.
The disrespect might help. The Warriors started out poorly against two teams they were expected to sweep or sweep gentlemanly. It bit them a little bit against Memphis. Hopefully the same will happen on Tuesday.
Stephen A preaching on First Take. Blake's 27/11/6 sure looks like impressive, but it really was one of the quietest near triple doubles I've ever seen. He disappeared when it actually mattered at critical stretches of the game.
Also, I saw a lot hate for Jamal Crawford during the game but J.J. Redick deserves way more criticism for completely shitting the bed for three straight games.
Game 5-7
29.7% FG
23.0% 3PT
That shit was just unacceptable considering he had plenty of space on most of his shots.

nah not against the warriors. I'm talking about yesterday's results and up to that point.
Although Vegas is disrespecting houston hard with that +700. That's ok . Gonna take the risk and potentially cash out on it tho
Bovadas odds are finally up on the series
+550 Houston on the series--seems much more on point
-850 GSW
Game 1: -10 GSW, + 10 HOU
-225 Cavs
+185 Hawks
going to ponder this for a bit

damn I was hearing +700 all morning. Gonna wait and see what sbgglobal says. They are usually higher than bovada and it doesn't take 2 weeks to get your payout.
Those Hawks series numbers seem pretty tantlizing--nothing amazing, but idk...Cavs strike me as entirely too young/dumb to have a crack in 7 games over the Hawx. But then again, it's LeBron.
By diehard Go To Postso all non Cavs fans are rooting for the Hawks, right?
The Hawks are better, fun to watch and a good story but I would still prefer to watch Lebron in the Finals even though it's a sweep waiting to happen.
