Fuck FIA
By Vini.lad Go To PostAbsolute joke not postponing the race to tomorrowThey have a tight schedule. They need to have everything setup for next weekend in Dutchland.
Fuck FIA
By Vini.lad Go To PostIt's not like they have to go to another fucking continentThey have to tear down, pack up, move, and then reassemble the motorhomes by Thursday.
By Vini.lad Go To PostIm sure they could manageThat's what they said about Arteta
The most amazing thing of this weekend is that the F3 kids had multiple races in those conditions , did not see a thing but racing np and the big boys somehow cannot handle it, because safety 1st.
standings, would be cool if either of the two wins it by 1/2 a point, ignore maths and related stuff , they both have 1/2 point :whistlle:

The big Finn announcing his retirement.
I know someone contracting within the F1 circus and he said you earned his respect by always reminding him that he was a cunt :D

Peaked pretty early in his carreer, thought he would make the next step/level, but he never did and became a nr2. instead.
Fun memories from his mcLaren days, retirement was definitely overdue

By bacon Go To PostWhy the fuck is the park and ride in Beverwijk?Because there aren't any decent parking lots in the dunes. Zandvoort goes in lockdown for the weekend. And Heemstede, Haarlem and surroundings aren't able to cope with the amount of traffic that's heading that way.

By bacon Go To PostSo in the end they were ill prepared?I remember years ago when Schumacher came to Zandvoort with Ferrari for a exhibition day, could be the Marlboro Masters. That day was about the same as I experienced in Spa Saturday. But without the rain. Zandvoort will forever be a traffic jam on busy days. They will never allow either of the roads to be widened or a new road to cut through the dunes.
But this time there is some sort of preparation for the traffic, they just don't let you into Zandvoort by car. You're parking 20 kilometers away and you take the bus, train or bike. But, it's still 70000 people moving that way, on roads that are already congested, and as the weather seems to be great in the weekend, there are also people going to the beach. I'll turn on the traffic info on Google Maps Friday, and post the red lines here.

It's crazy. A mate told me yesterday that he has managed to get a weekend ticket for himself!
And I have to go to work on Sunday ;_;
Yep, there is only one road to Zandvoort, so you always get traffic jams no way around it.
Looks like the change in weather comes well after the weekend so it is going to be a nice Sunny day at the beach. Would say front limted track, so should suit Merc little more during the race. But Saurday is going to determine a lot about outcome of the race, so tune in for that highlight, as it is a great "hotlapping"track. Run in to T1 looks not long enough for a lot of action, even with added banking in the last, as there is almost no braking zone.
Now bring on some helmetcam for the run out of Hugenholtz and through Scheivlak, specially on Saturday.

Nice to have a track that is the same for drivers and fans a like, traffic everywhere.
Hardly any running as Sebs car after 15 mins stopped and Marshalls weren't allowed to touch it (ERS green light not on) and session started with only 6 mins to go. So for idea of pace wait for FP2, although traffic complaints will be there through out all session on such a short track.

Another double red flag session, 1st Lewis early on engine issue and later Mazepin beaching it in the chicane in the middle of the quick runs. Some people did get a lap in before or after the 2nd red flag, others did it on used reds, so order/times bit affected by it.
Long runs Max class of his own, reds kept up reasonable on those 13 laps, so could be starting tire, as on short lap it will probably be hard to get through Q2 on mediums. Rest was all together 4/5 tenths behind that, Valteri on short run Mediums bit better than on reds.
In the end q run will be most important, so long run pave mater less here, unless you're tires really fall off.

This race is going to be absolutely terrible
narrow track
a lot of turns
no straights
dirty air
Worse than Monaco imo

Invest milions in a massive banked last corner for longer drs straight, fia does not allow for drs use in that corner facepalm.gif.
I would say more Albert Park than Monaco, because with better tires you can pass, in Monaco you can drive without mguk and still not get passed.

Could be, don't think he is good enough, at least has not shown enough this year, but early on in his career and still time to develop.
Wasn't a great deal of passing in the F3 race. Few dives into t1 and saw one nice one round the outside t3 but yeah. Race winner likely decided today.

Auto ban imo.
But jesus how many times has Carlito smashed up the ferrari going in too hot. Lad a walking cost cap disaster

I cringed so hard watching Coronel and Tost talk yesterday in ziggo. As if his ego wasn’t big enough yet Franz was out there telling Coronel he would have killed it in F1 if it weren’t for the lack of financial support.
