Overtaking is only possible with tire life advantage, so can see what merc is trryng with Lewis
One tire guy not ready for Max,weird for rbr

By Vini.lad Go To Post2 stop for Max?think tires will last and track postion is key.
Merc does have straightline speed advantage, so if rears go Ax will be sitting duck again
Even ignoring Lewis' tyres are 5 laps fresher, he has the advantage when it comes to tyre management.
would be something, race 1 and 100 in similar styles, but feel that tire life in the end is going to be in Mercs
Wow 2 stops for lewis
Wow 2 stops for lewis
By FortuneFaded Go To PostI think Max will hold this. One sec a lap should be possible and no traffic, think this is one win for Merc strat
Perez good move but little late, merc strat not possible if he was fighting with Valteri
By KP Go To PostRussell points watchUp to 10th.

By LunaticNotFounder Go To PostMerc on the better strategy. That call to pit was incredible.it really was
Today showed perfectly why Sergio need to get up to speed quickly if RBR wants to stop the Lewis Merc combo. Merc race pace (specially harder tires) looks a tath quicker so far and they need all the help if Max wants to have a fighting chance to beat that combo.
Charles top race and Dannyric needed to deliver and did, wlll stop talk for few weeks.

Max: Eh, what'd you gonna do.. it's what it is
By KP Go To PostWish they'd have asked if the 2 stop was the plan even if Lewis led the race early.if Lewis had lead ,he could have controlled pace better and save more tires, so don't think so, unless RBR had forced it on to them. That early SC closed a lot of options, as alll gaps to fit your car in after early stop were gone.

I think you're right but it makes sense why they were so keen to have the extra set of mediums from Q2 just in case.

Ziggo interview they asked Valteri and plan was 1 stop, but driving behind Charles forced him in 2, so assume starting strat same for Lewis.
Q2 on reds was also because you do not want to loose out on start on meds to the reds.
Full results:
Can you all imagine how fun it would have been if Bottas turned in on Hamilton and took his wing.
Perez result flatters his weekend. Solid drive Danny Ric. Good recovery from Gasley to nick the last point.
RIP Aston Martin.

As interesting as Max vs Lewis is (read, it's not going to be interesting if Perez is dead space).
The most interesting is Norris vs Leclerc for 4th. And maybe even 3rd if Valtteri has a few DNF's.
And by extension, Ferrari vs McLaren in the constructors.

By LunaticNotFounder Go To PostI'm not sure it is Perez' fault the RB is undrivable for anyone besides Verstappen.Ricciardo could drive it.
Just no once since.
Perez is definitely the 1st to make up sick notes.
He can drive the car just fine, he is just has to accept the fact that he is slower than Max and he will be fine. Just accept going in to a race-weekend that the gap will be there and slowly lap by lap close it a little, otherwise you end up loosing all confidence like Pierre did.

I never thought much of Perez as a driver. So my expectations were that he would really struggle to be on par with Max. And from PIerre and Albon, it should be clear that it's a hard car to learn. I think expecting Perez to be of help consistently on race weekends is wishful thinking for the first half of the season. If not the whole first season.
