Back to back and this weekend Spain, Barcelona. They changed T10, higher speed one corner instead of slow left/left (think safety?), so that's 1/2 a overtaking opportunity less.
Mercedes always extremely dominant, other than one cheating Fer power unit year, specially last sector, curious if their problem on the softer compounds (rear limited) so far this year chances this and makes RBR more competitive, specially in Q session.
Midfield after some teams looking better on low grip and hard to warm-up tires, feel this will be more like Bahrain, so should be Lando best of the rest (McLaren did struggle a little with S3 over the years) or can DannyRic finally find his mojo on a more familiar track, or does Ferrari have the one lap pace (Charles).

Appointment, missed start and had to watch without a timingscreen, which is a challenge, miss so much when you just have coms. Session bit of a mess in the end, Kubica red flag meant some on longruns, while others tried to do their quick runs. First impression, back to pre Portimao order, but lets see in FP2.

Merc fastest on meds, on reds did not improve as much as others (as has been trend entire year, (rears heat?). Max back-out of fastest lap after running wide in T10 on reds, similar pace to Mercs. Midfield really close and Charles was the fastest in S3.
Long run hard to judge as RBR ran Max his engine completely detuned (issue or saving mileage?), but seeing Perez 1 1/2 tenths of the Merc long run pace, feel it is close again. Midfield was few tenths more off, but all very similar. McLaren little off (s3), but they were also little off in previous weekends, so they might run a little more fuel.
Shame that the medium to red gap is so small, so that people can run those in Q2, although if gaps stay that small, maybe people will be forced to run reds.

Interesting that Alpine had a decent FP2. Would like them to be the upper half of midfield. Was worrying about that with some of the lack of pace in the first race and Imola.
Ferrari looking quick but knowing their strategy Norris will find a way to finish ahead of both cars come Sunday.
This could be a very good pole battle. Likely Max stronger in sectors 1 and 2, Hamilton stronger in sector 3.

Both Max and Lewis had a poor final chicane, so hard to call, but felt Lewis left little more on the table, so as close as the entire season by the looks of it. Sergio has few more Q attempts to find pace on his first lap, so far to slow, Valteri had poor 2nd run and needs to find last week magic if he wants to compete.
Midfield, "this is Barcelona" , mega mega close as teams know this track to well and Ferrari the team to pick up the pieces if any of the topteam drivers does not deliver. Expect some traffic complaints/excuses in Q2
Lando, no rear

Yuki learning its a hard life for a rookie in F1, shame Lando had to use extra set and Saturday George delivers.

TSU might pay a hefty "fee" for his behavior if he keeps this up.
Mercedes going for the soft in Q2. 2 pit stop strategy?

Was sat pretty on mediums. Thought he would have backed off personally.

By KP Go To PostWas sat pretty on mediums. Thought he would have backed off personally.they don't want to risk anything at the start on a track where position is so important, so you want to start on reds here.
Misunderstood, thought you meant 2nd run on meds, but I see now what you mean, the medium time was fast enough in Q1, yes I agree, but Merc just did not want to take that gamble.
Full session
Eventful start and than hopefully not a controlled pace possession for a 1 stop, but some more pace for a 2, at least double the excitement at the pitstop window.
