Oh, we're doing the whole "Kane should stay in the box and wait for shit or non-existent crosses" thing again?

Denmark are winning the euros.
There's no one to bring on that's going to make a huge difference. Maybe Phillips off for Bellingham is the only change that would improve things a bit

Shaw is an attacking improvement.
Lingard is an attacking improvement (if you bring Foden into CM instead of Phillips).
In the alternative Bellingham is an attacking improvement.

Bungie v Horse
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostAlso why is Mount not involved in set pieces but Kalvin Phillips is?You know the answer to this, m8.
By Xpike Go To Postimagine how werner gets paid more per week that most of us will make in our life
I'd really hope that's not true.

This guy actually can’t play football anymore lol
Should just become a sprinter instead

Amazon call centers are rough
This hasn't been a good performance
Regardless of whether you think he's an improvement, he wasn't going to take off the left back he started for another left back. Bringing on Lingard for Phillips is a slightly more inconvenient way of getting more creativity and guile into midfield [than bringing on Bellingham]

he doesnt look fast at all though
By FootbalIFan Go To PostWhat haha noIt will take me 20 years to get paid what Werner gets in a week and I'm paid more than half of my group of friends (the other 4 that are paid more 2 are doctors, 1 is paid a little more than 100€ and the last one has his own business).
North Macedonia's RB wasn't good enough for us and he is now winning against Germany.
To be fair, he fucked up, refused to be a sub for Pedro Porro and picked a fight with the manager.

I fear this won't win us the euros
I really disagree. I think a team with a tight structure and defence, and good set pieces is precisely the type of team that will win this particular Euro.

England are among the teams that have those characteristics.

That was 3 years ago tbf. We conceded 8 shots in the last 3 games.
in most close games set pieces can be the key, but i dont think england would have a close game with portugal or france

The team hasn't got that much better I think
Do you honestly think they can nick a goal and defend if they come up against Belgium again?

Belgium and France are the only teams I'd be really concerned about. But then they also play more openly than any of the teams we just played.
I think we're a better drilled and more cohesive team than the one that got to the WC SFs and we have better players now too. We were missing three £100m+ attackers tonight too.

I just don't see this cohesiveness. I see players that can pass the ball around at the back and not lose it, and then struggle to make much happen in the middle or in the final third. Having Grealish and Sancho in the team will make a difference I think that's fair to say, but we're still asking them to solve all the problems this team has in creating chances from open play.
The England team still has the exact same problem of a coach picking media favourites and past succeses instead of choosing a well balanced team. You can get away with that if you're France but England probably won't

I mean two arguably world class creative wide players should probably have a reasonably large effect yes.
Returning to my actual original point for a moment, the Euro is going fucking suck. Everyone will be extraordinarily tired or injured. No one can play swash-buckling high press football. I think the team that can play defensive possession football and is comparatively good at set pieces is the team that will win the Euro. I think England is one such team.
