We may have made the odd tournament, but we were shit, apart from an upset win over an Italy B side who'd already qualified for the knock outs.

It's been a pretty bad day overall. Started with me on the phone with the ISP because the set top box they installed yesterday is completely fucked and after 30 minutes on the phone, they told me that I need to replace the box and the quickest way was to exchange it on a store but their stores here are closed on the weekend.
I was supposed to have a birthday party tonight with 20 people because we are Covid free here but it was cancelled because I had to go on work to another island for 36h. The regional department of health says that I only had to stay in isolation until I got the result of the test which I did yesterday.
My friends always said that we were doing something today, that they had no worries because the part of the island I worked was pretty safe and I was very careful (two masks all the time except when eating, refused invitations for lunch because I didn't want to be around anyone without a mask, always had desinfectante on my pocket and kept using it when I touched something).
This afternoon, they backed out. It's understandable and wise but we've been arranging things for today since yesterday and no one said anything, a couple of them were the ones who kept asking what was the plan for today.
Then I found out what happened on the private conversation they had without me to arrange things.
The first person who said we are doing something on my birthday anyway was the one who said that we shouldn't do anything today on their conversation but she didn't had the courage to say it on our group conversation and actually attacked a friend of mine who had suggested dinner.
I am not disappointed for them not wanting to come, it's the right thing to do. I am disappointed by the lack of consistency and willingness to be direct of some people.
Last year, they made me a wonderful surprise. Dropped me off a cake, sang me happy birthday from the other side of the road and did a video chat with me on the night.
This year, nothing. No cake, no video chat, not even a phone call. Two of them didn't even wished me an happy birthday.
We are talking about people who are at my house almost every weekend because I am the only one with an empty house and that is big enough for us to be comfortable.
My father had a gift for me but didn't even dropped it off or came to see me from a distance.
The only good thing from today was my best friend who also had a big day today as was elected for a position on her political party and came to me to ask me if I would be sad if she went out to dinner with some of our friends, she didn't feel right going out with me stuck at home alone but I convinced that I wanted her to go.
Lovely girl that one and someone I will forever hold dearly in my heart.
