By Willkiller Go To PostIt looks soft but I don't think it is, tell tale sign is TAA holding his head after he catches DCL the second timebecause a pen had just been given against him?
By WJD Go To PostThere’s hardly any protest from TAA as well, which is usually indicative of the truth.Yep. I get why most think its not a pen but TAA lifted his leg to foul him and did not even try to protest once the pen was awarded.
Clown shoes, man.
We’d have to get a leg snapped to get a foul called for us. But given that’s already happened and it still wasn’t deemed a foul, I’m starting to *shock and awe* question the quality of officiating in the PL.

By OneTwoTee Go To PostCan we just play the CL games for the rest of this season plsWe've only got one of those though.
I think it was a stone wall penalty. You lads are mental.
DCL was about to tap it in to an empty net.

Holding his head as if DCL had hurt him....not holding his head to show distain toward the decision
By Hitch Go To PostWe've only got one of those though.Good. Means I have to watch less of this shite.
By Willkiller Go To PostHolding his head as if DCL had hurt him….not holding his head to show distain toward the decisionI'm not sure what your point is, if he was hurt by Calvert Lewin crashing into him then how is that indicative that he fouled him?
Why didn’t he send TAA off? If he whistles that surely he has to show a red? DCL was about to walk it into the net.
And again we've took Jones off during our best period of the match, and gone to shit. Happened against City and Leicester iirc
Can't wait for Origi and Shaqiri to leave.

Funny timing, to immediately grab your head the second after you fuck up by sticking your leg up to trip the player

I wasn't sold until the recorder solo.
I honestly don’t know if it’s a penalty or not. There’s too much to consider. If Gnev were here he would say when you go to ground you’re at the mercy of your momentum
Incredible performance from the ref. Gomes not being sent off was hardly surprising, a lot of players are able to get away with stuff like that and plenty of Liverpool players would have avoided reds the same way. The penalty and the VAR 'review' though, simply astonishing
By Killer7 Go To PostDoesn't matter.lol
Lolerpool are back.
Now can we capitalise tomorrow pls
actually to say one good thing about the ref, at least you can fume about his incompetence instead of having to worry about another useless Liverpool attack

I don’t think these lot are getting top 4. This has to be one of the worst title defences ever. At least Leicester won it with like 80 points.
Anyway, the penalty is just a nice distraction from 1 point in the last 5 home games
@Penny is this Klopp endgame?

Yeah I think that's a pretty good argument seeing as DCL would have just tapped it in if he wasn't brought down from TAA's slide. Either way, I think the first point of contact, while not intentional, was still a pen. The leg flicking up to make sure he went down would have also been a pen in isolation too.
Penny is this similar to Klopp's last season at Dortmund, I know you had some injury problems then as well (but that is one card that has been overused here so not blaming that) but how did he cope tactically? To me this team is running out of ideas and it looks the same in most games and they are not creating enough cut clear chances anymore but Klopp chooses to set the team up tactically the same in every game.

To clarify, it’s not a argument that it’s a foul. It’s just something Gnev would say to criticise the defender for putting himself in that position.

I genuinely feel sorry for them, which is weird.

So, I'll take 9th?

If that gets given against United I’m posting about it in a rage for fucking hours, honestly
The standard of officiating in this country is diabolical.

Yes, we've had tremendous injury problems, but it was also generally a phase where we actually needed new impulses.
That's why Klopp left in the end. Pretty much said, if he would have continued in Dortmund, a radical change would have been necessary. Alot of departures and new blood.
He didn't really change alot in terms of tactics, but it felt like the team got their shit together and acted as a team. They made a promise during the winter break, to get into the EL. Only major change was using Aubameyang as striker instead of a winger and parking Immobile on the bench.
Overall it's not really comparable at all. Apart from injuries and saturation.
We've lost Lewandowski that year. Alot of players had a rather long injury or just came back from one. New players that couldn't be integrated well due the downward traction.
Pool is just different. Of course new blood would have been necessary, but you've also got a fucking shit schedule with corona and all those injury problems. And players are surely exhausted both mentally and and physically after putting in so much over the last 3 years.

By n8 dogg Go To PostI don’t get it, mate. Surely you can’t bring someone down like that, he slides in, doesn’t get the ball then there’s contact, to me it doesn’t matter that it’s head. He’s impeded him. He shouldn’t be on the deck there and he stops Calvert-Lewin from having a tap in.
