Would I be cancelled if I called Simeone "Cholo"? It's a famous nickname for him, that he inherited from another footballer, but from googling it means mixed-race.
So what's next for Mou? Will his next step down be Everton? Back to Portugal? International football?
By DerZuhälter Go To PostSo what's next for Mou? Will his next step down be Everton? Back to Portugal? International football?
Bit of international football so he can swan around doing a part-time punditry job I reckon.
By n8 dogg Go To Postimagine arsenalI would legitimate want to see him at the Seleção
By n8 dogg Go To Postimagine arsenalomg please
By DerZuhälter Go To PostSo what's next for Mou? Will his next step down be Everton? Back to Portugal? International football?Doubt he will come back to Portugal as no one can pay him.
Ruben Amorim will probably stay for awhile unless someone pays his 20M release clause and even then it would have to be a very interesting team for him to accept to leave us because he seems to love it here.
A return to Porto seems unlikely because I can't see Sergio Conceição leaving and next season will probably be rough for Porto because Otavio and Marega are leaving on a free, Sarr and Grjuic are going back to their clubs and Corona will probably leave because he is on the best form of his life, his contract runs out next season and he is 28 years old so either Porto sell him this summer or they risk losing him on a free.
Benfica would be the most likely choice, the press is claiming today that Benfica's president wants Jesus out but won't fire him because he doesn't want to play the 10M€+ it would cost but the fans don't like Mourinho, the president is facing probably the lowest point of his presidency and the club will have to make some heavy cuts because they spent more than 100M€ in signings for this season (pretty sure it's a record for a portuguese team) , missed the qualification to the Champions League which forced them to sell Ruben Dias, the title is pretty much off for them with a 15 point gap to first time and they actually are in risk of missing out on the qualification to the next year's Champions League as Porto is 5 points ahead of them in 2nd place and Braga is 4 ahead in 3rd.
In terms of the national squad, Fernando Santos will only leave if massively shits the bed on the Euro and even then people would probably give him a pass as we have a very difficult group.
By n8 dogg Go To PostI wonder how much of Spurs fans' apathy is the fact that it's Mourinho. Would you lot be more inclined to give him time if he wasn't Chelsea ex boi? Or is he just that fucking shit?
I know the fact he managed Chelsea factored not one iota into my reasonings for wanting him gone.
It's not important to me. It's not like he's held in high regard by anyone except fans of Inter Milan, maybe the worst of the worst Real Madrid fans, and then for some reason every single person in Portugal
By DerZuhälter Go To PostSo what's next for Mou? Will his next step down be Everton? Back to Portugal? International football? Why would we want him?
Why are we a step down when we beaten them twice this season and are ahead of Spurs in the table?
Get the fuck out of here
By Punished* Go To PostStill struggle to see how this makes business sense. Even with favourable loans, it's still £500m.That’s still a financial upward trajectory
Our current stadium is anemic. Losing money, has a ceiling of 35k spectators, and has worse commercial revenue outside than the stadiums at Carlisle and Blackpool.
And the money for the stadium is not 100% acquired through loans. 175 million is infested by Moshiri, 100 million by Everton club and 150 million are raised by investment from Liverpool City Council
Replacing board members like Donald and Methven with the CFO of the Louis-Dreyfus group. Means nowt for on the pitch but hopefully we're not gonna be run like a spiv cartel anymore.
By faridmon Go To PostThat’s still a financial upward trajectoryThere's a lot of concerning stuff in this Swiss ramble thread even taking into account the effect of the pandemic.

Also, the favourable loans I mentioned was the £280m of loans coming from Liverpool Council but the echo is now saying that won't be used and they'll seek private finance elsewhere.
By JesalR Go To PostDon't think I see many teams going £150m for Kane this year. I could see City?Too old at this point. Will be 28 in the summer. City would have paid that when he was 22 or 23 probably, but now you're getting max 3-4 years of him at his best most likely. Would only spend that on someone like Mbappe or Haaland who are young and you can get 10+ years from them.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostDoubt he will come back to Portugal as no one can pay him.He will leave for any team that can pay him higher wages than Sporting can in a higher ranked league. He also loved it at Braga.

I would prefer AVB anyway.

They already went crazy this last time when Mou was free and Benfica was looking for a manager and it was all over the news that LFV wanted Mou. Pretty sure there was an approach but Mou didn’t want it.
In terms of the national squad, Fernando Santos will only leave if massively shits the bed on the Euro and even then people would probably give him a pass as we have a very difficult group.Yeah the timing is bad for Mourinho, but he would love to get that job, he’s said as much in the past and he has even tried to take caretaker job simultaneously with managing Real Madrid but was denied by Florentino.

Correct decision. I wouldn't say it was a dive necessarily so good to not give the kid a yellow, but definitely not a pen.
By Meier Go To PostThat is so light. Surely VAR will overturn it.
Is it any lighter than Luiz or Bednarek against united?
Raphinha should have scored there. Way too long on the ball. Helluva pass by Harrison (?).
Wow, what a tackle by Romeu.

By KP Go To PostIs it any lighter than Luiz or Bednarek against united?I can't comment on the Bednarek one, had turned it off by that point, lol. I thought Luiz was very hard done (and posted as such at the time). Main thing though of course was the Leeds fella playing the ball and they're always going to be a little more lenient in that case.
I have enjoyed watching them this season but Leeds have been pretty poor today. Lacking any attacking bite at all. Soton well on top in the first half.
By KP Go To PostWe don't play second halfs mate
✅
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostLads, I think we are gonna fucking destroy City.Lol, KP's quote post made me see this for the first time.
Wow, good clearance off the line by Bamford. Keeper probably has it but can't be too careful I guess.

Let it be known from today on I'll clap for the refs at 6pm every day, and so should everyone else in this thread
Why stop at clapping? Surely between Captain Tom, Mike Clattenburg, Nigel Farage and Churchill we have enough for a UK Mt Rushmore
Bit unlucky for Soton, have been solid in the 2nd half and Leeds were a bit loopy. Nice couple moments and it's 2-0.
