My first Hitman in forever, well excited to play it. Guess I'll have to download that Epic launcher after all.
Any online features worth caring about in this?

By Freewheelin Go To PostNot really, just leaderboards and custom contracts.I thought those elusive contracts were an online feature? I never looked into it.
Also, all the challenges and stuff are disabled if you're offline in Hitman 1 or 2. Doubt that's changed in this one.

By Wahabipapangus Go To PostYeah is elusive contracts not in it anymore? Cause that is some great stuffOh the elusive contracts are still in, i think
Already had Hitman 1 and 2. Spent more time than necessary making sure everything is in line for import into Hitman 3. Getting it on XSX. Seems even more convoluted on PC.

I wonder if that's why they decided to wait and release all the maps at once

edit: having said that I'm fulling expecting to load up the game with none of my unlocks there and no mastery of the previous maps

I have Hitman 2 with the H1 Legacy Pack installed. I didn't do the Progression carryover but the missions themselves appear in H3 for me.
First level of Hitman 3 is straight out of Mission Impossible.

I know that, but they had said it was an option for Hitman 3 to go episodic
Not really. Unless they actually did something with the dual sense on the ps side. And then there's VR.

Spent a lot of time replaying the first map yesterday. Did quite a few challenges. The second map is fuking me up.
I can’t wait to see how this is going to look with ray traced reflections and shadows. RTX 3070 performance at 2560x1440 is like 135fps average (and this is with a quad core CPU) so there’s a lot of room to play with. Having said that, unless they spend a good amount of time on optimisation (and maybe they will given the Series S and X are supposed to get this update) I would expect there will be a huge performance hit, especially on the shinier levels
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostThe second level is cool as fuck.
Is it? Maybe I spent too much time and multiple attempts in Dubai, but I wasn't feeling the second map ( havrnt finished it yet)
All of the maps look good. Maybe it’s too early to say but it feels like the strongest set they’ve put together
SASO’d the first level just following the default mission story (except for the disguise change obviously). I think I know how to do the parachute evac kills so will try that next

As long as you are that detective.
By blackace Go To Postso everybody put it down already?
I’ve been playing still since it came out. Mastered the first 2 levels and close to mastering the third. I imagine there was a lot of this 👇 and the problem is these games don’t lead you down a path to completion. So it’s easy for someone to buy it, play each level once or twice and then never touch it again. But IOI still get that money so no big deal
By DiPro Go To Postyeah no way i'd buy it any other time but since there is nothing to play on next gen i might as well get it.
I'm one of those people who try to master every level, do all the challenge and assassination kills in every level so this is gonna take me a long time to fully complete it lol. I don't mind tho, the games have been utterly fantastic for me.

By JesalR Go To PostJust picked it up last night.
How much do you guys save scum during levels?
I try not to outside of the first exploration run. Also you can't really do it if you select Master. And not doing it helps later for the elusive targets.

This is why the episodic format was better for playing the game. Although there's an argument it's why the quality of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th maps fell off a cliff
By Bungie Go To PostThis is why the episodic format was better for playing the game.fagreed
Annoying thing I noticed in China, if you take out the generic guard in the room with you whilst you’re doing the Hush chair assassination (not his bodyguard, the other one) you’ll be compromised the moment you stand up after Hush’s death. Took me ages to work out why that is - he’s supposed to escort you back out. Doesn’t really make sense I know, but something to avoid if you’re doing that kill.
I went through some levels from 1 and 2 before jumping in to 3, but noticed the moment I started the first level on 3 that everything looked washed out. On PS5, HDR calibrated well, haven't had issues with any other games or even the levels from the previous games

Whew Just finished Haven and now I'm all done with SASO on professional. Turning off mission stories was a game changer. I only played through Paris and Sapeizna on the original game on PS4 so I mostly remembered routes. Besides that after playing through Paris again I turned off mission stories and it was refreshing just exploring the map and learning about opportunities for kills. Going through blind and having a plan come together felt so rewarding.
