My dad is literally Hank Hill except he's an engineer instead of a propane salesman. Like looks like him, acts like him and everything. One of his co-workers back in the late 90s edited a TV Times cover with King of the Hill on it to be exactly him.
He's still got it framed in his office lol.

By domino Go To Posti appreciate Homelander 10x more after watching BansheeIt's a shame that apparently Anthony Starr is a massive cunt.
He was arrested in Spain earlier this year for assaulting a chef in a pub.
I remember a interview with the cast of The Boys around season 2's launch where they asked whose character was closer to the actors personality and everyone pointed to Starr.

By bud Go To Postmany years ago, i saw a documentary called the staircase–which is available on netflix right now.The staircase is an incredible documentary
fascinating stuff.
hbo turned it into a mini series. the first three episodes are up.
it's not top tier drama, but it's good enough so far.
putting this in tags just in case: watching kathleen die was horrible, visceral stuff

Went on one season too long imo but it was a ton of fun for a few years.
Made Lili Simmons famous though so we should all be grateful.

The Staircase is the best true crime doc of all time, I've seen David Rudolf speak live a couple of times (asked a couple of questions, spoken a few times on twitter we're basically best mates).
The HBO series is.....not good. The casting was really quite good (apart from Rudolf who is terrible) and it was cool them showing different scenarios, but the parts they got wrong they got very fucking wrong to the point where anyone who hasn't already seen the doc would think it isn't worth watching at best and offensive at worst. It's a real shame, it was never going to touch the doc but they didn't have to hurt the doc like they have.

Feeling some resistance with The Boys S3, and I chalk it up to Homelander fatigue.
Watched The Staircase HBO series and think it doesn’t hold a candle to the documentary, even if it highlights some interesting aspects that the doc doesn’t. It just feels too fictional and made up at times, which doesn’t sit right with me. Insane that the doc’s editor decided on pursuing a relationship with that nutcase.

I don't think they watched the show
Oh because Squid Game was a satirical critique of capitalism?
Wait, where did it air again? How much is the creator being paid to smash out a second season after taking more than a decade to get the first made?
