had seen a few episodes of er on tv throughout the years, but it wasn't until yesterday that i wanted to keep watching. luckily, it's up on prime (though probably not for very long).
i really like it. tons of characters. chaos. even though it mostly takes place in the er, it's still about the people rather than focusing on case studies--which is what made me stop watching house after a while.
i very probably won't watch all fifteen seasons, but for the time being, i'm really enjoying it.

My wife is obssessed with Grey's Anatomy.
Finally watched Rick & Morty season 4. Thought it was a lot better than 3. The finale in particular was cracking me up.
Was 5 any good? I see it comes out on HBO Max next week.

Do I have to read the books to get the proper ending? The protomolecule/dog things segments feel like they took away more than they added if they had no intention for it to actually go anywhere. Wish Filip had taken that other mechanic with him when he bailed.
Decent season considering how few episodes there were, though it felt like more of an addendum to S5 than an entirely new one.

Does the rail gun system exist on both sides/dimensions of the ring station simultaneously? Think it shot down a couple of fleets in our dimension, and had a bead on the Rocinante in the slow zone
Was it just for dramatic purposes that Marco went through the ring first, when he presumably knew that the Roci would be waiting for his fleet on the other side? Or did I misread that scene and other Free Navy ships had gone before him, but he saw the footage of them being disintegrated too late?
I had a decent enough grip on the physics of the universe before the Rings got involved ¬¬

By Hytch Go To PostCouple of quick onesthe railguns can rotate, so they can fire at shit inside and out of the immediate ring space - but not directly 'through' the ring because of the deceleration window. the reason the martian fleet got smeshed was because they were basically strolling straight into a firing line. the roci was hauling ass along the edges of each firing arc once they passed through.

marco going first is his thing, but they were only planning to smoke holden as they'd essentially made it past all other real resistance. with the free navy fleet they weren't gonna lose against one beat up ship.
i think there's way more in the books about the ring's threshold but i honestly can't remember. by flooding it near simultaneously with smaller objects, the next larger things through were getting wiped. if there's any issues i have with the finale, its actually that scene/setup to it tbh. it kinda wraps up a bit too neatly imo.
and in the books there a lot more characters, namely because they don't just drop the mao family cold, mars has a LOT of loose ends, and drummer is like 5 different people molded into one lol
