This argument might just knock it up to the best ending, above six feet under.
Breaking bad ending was a bit shit i thought. But most of the show was by that point. Not that it was ever truly great tbh. One of the most overrated shows of all time, mostly from middle aged men pointing the screen and saying omg that's literally me. The amount of Co workers who were teachers with a Hank avatar on fb 💀
Nice. First episode is not very good imo. A bit all over the place and very much a pilot. But episode 2 is already such a step up in quality

By n8 dogg Go To PostI love BB and think its last season is one of the GOATs but the ending was super male power fantasyI think the last season was pretty bad. Everything else was amazing
I really enjoy a lot of that last season. Think Ozymandias and Granite State are up there with the best episodes of the show (the former likely is the best episode of the show). I’m not as keen on S4 as many people.
S5 > S3 > S1 > S4 > S2.

Last season was, but the worst was the season with those two twins for me. Like they wanted to hit as many boring tropes as possible.
Gus was fun though, easy to forget now, when he's just head of ubisoft or whatever
I remember when Gus was a bootleg Laurence Fishburne in Usual Suspects.
Gus was incredible, one of my favorite TV characters. So incredible that now that's all he can be. Star Wars Gus, Ubi Gus.
I didn't mind the twins, they weren't and definitely weren't Tuco but I didn't feel cringe about them.

with an average of twenty episodes per season, you're bound to have some stinkers and awful filler episodes, but, overall, lost was a fun ride... all the way up until the end of season 4 when the island just disappeared.
that blew my mind.
it should've ended right there without anything really answered.
the last two seasons felt like--and it's incredible how everything always comes back to kojima-san--mgs4 levels of trying to tie up all of the loose ends.
just awful.

How do go from an almost super villain tier cartel to dusty meth head bikers for the final boss?

I always thought this was indicative of where Walt’s pretensions had taken him. He builds up this almost mythological rivalry with the chicken man and didn’t really take any concrete losses, then some punk bitch Nazis come along with no grandeur, no glamour, and fuck his life up entirely. Like, these are the skeevy shitty criminals you eventually come across while living out your power fantasies. Amoral scum who don’t need to wear suits or pretend they’re anything other than they are.
Meth heads were also a large factor to the last season being a bit shit. But I thought everything had kind of dwindled in quality by then, so it almost fit with the series really.
Anyway, I would certainly shoot up with Jane.
Yeah I was fairly invested in Lost, but it became fairly obvious early on, that there would be no truly satisfying way to explain it all.
That golden buttplug cave though

BB for me is a show that genuinely does get better and better (with the exception beng season 1 being stronger than season 2). It isn't this gritty realistic show, it's pretty pulpy so there is an element of suspension of disbelief you have to have throughout. BB's absolute 100% best attribute is the characters and I think they were all the strongest in S5 (by some distance actually).
I don't think the Nazi nikers were ever positioned as "the final boss", if there was a final boss it was Walt. The bikers are obviously villainous but to me they exist to further just show how far Walt has come, I mean they don't really ever give a fuck about Walt. At no point are they trying to hunt him down and kill him (until the very last scene ofc) or anything like that. The only reason they play a role in the final episode is because Walt knows he's at the end and he has to scratch that itch one more time. They're really just a device to drive the characters into their final moments really, and they have Todd who is a genuinely memorable character.

Season 5 of BB was amazing. Season 3 with the twins was terrible. It definitely is the one of the most overrated shows ever though.

I haven't watched BB since it ended but I remember the first 2 seasons being my favorite. The story moved along faster and there was more of an emphasis on comedy. Still loved the later seasons though
The filmmaking got much better every season, for sure. There was this level of confidence that came around season 4 where it wasn’t trying to be edgy, in-your-face filmmaking like some of S1/2 was. Cinematography, montages, editing, music choices… all peak. That confidence has carried through to Better Call Saul.
The ending of Sopranos is amazingly good. Perfect.
Better Call Saul just better than BB. Just better. Tremendous. Still got two seasons of it to watch on a rainy day, very nice. Maybe even 3, the last season is due soon iirc?

Absolutely. No doubt in my mind about that.
I finished season 1 of succession now, and it's pretty decent. But fuck me, better get a big jump in quality in season 2, otherwise everyone saying it's as good as mad men are crazy
Depending on where season 4 lands think Ozark could be better than BB. It's on a steeper trajectory upwards imo
I never watched it, but if you've tried 3 times... That should be a good indication it isnt for you, no?

I've tried 3 times to watch it.
Think it's very good personally.
The Leftovers is one of my top 5 probs. First season is good, second season is fucking insane and great, third season is lovely.
Might rewatch. But I need to finish Yellowjackets. Yellowjackets is good. Apart from that girl with the cartoon eyes, she properly creeps me out. I hope she dies.
Not the actor ofc.

I just went on imdb because I had no idea who she was and as a kid she had full on Gollum eyes, that's crackers. One of the other actors is called Thatcher. This is just... maybe I just go rewatch Leftovers now.
Currently watching the Americans for the first time, on s2. Great stuff; can thoroughly recommend for anyone who hasn’t seen it.

Just spent an hour looking for Millennium online on streaming services, torrent sites, online stores and only eBay has it but people are asking more than 200€ for the 3 seasons.
Shit, really wanted to do a full rewatch of The X-Files franchise.
