I ended up really enjoying invasion. It’s slow at times, but man it does get suspenseful at times. Story ended in a way that’s got me excited for a season two.
Gonna do the therapist one next. Also Lost in Space season 3. Also new start trek … also new expanse.
Holy fuck dq11 has seen me fall behind on TV

Man, apple TV's selection is tiny. Makes sense that it's basically free.
Surprised they didn't use some of their trillions to get Seinfeld or some other classic sitcoms.

yeah it might be tiny but everything on it is really mediocre to make up for it.
okay Ted Lasso is decent.

Real fucking bummer that the last volume of the ost hasn't been released. Mac Quayle was peaking every season.
Are they dropping Sunny episodes 2 at a time? Watched the one with Dee's acting class and bar monkey this week and there are already two more episodes available.
Lovely news.
Speaking of DWTU (Dick Wolf's Television Universe), I've been catching up on the FBI franchise because police procedurals are the perfect before bed TV and I am shocked that not only the original show is on it's 4th season, it already has 2 spinoffs, Most Wanted and International.
International makes little sense and the writing is more ridiculous than the others (they seriously had a Swiss detective say "we're Swiss, we don't meddle" not once but twice in a episode).
Maybe it's because I already think he's a dickhead, but it seems like Gervais really doesn't want to give any credit to Stephen Merchant for any of their successes. Comes across as such an insecure twat.
He comes across as an insecure twat cause that is exactly what he is. one of those guys who try to sound smart, when he's such a fucking dumb fuck.

By domino Go To Poston man the FBI shows are so bad lol. i'll put up w/ the odd ep of the main one for Missy Peregrym just cause she fine as hell.Yeah, that's why I like to watch it before going to sleep.
It isn't good enough to keep me awake to watch what happens next but it's entertaining enough.
Besides, the original has Jeremy Sisto and Alana de la Garza, Most Wanted has Julian McMahon.
Also, it's kind of good that the original FBI has a Muslim agent and Most Wanted has a lesbian Black agent.
It's nice to see characters like that on a mainstream show (seeing transexual actress play important characters in ABC's Big Sky and The CW Supergirl is even better).
The only redeeming factor of FBI International is that the actress playing Jamie Kellett is ridiculously hot.
The lead in that show is such an asshole and the show just portraits almost every cop in Europe as either completely incompetent or corrupt.
Edit: FBI International has a dog so it automatically makes it the best show on the franchise.

Need to watch it, they have a bit in my town, but it looks like it's in the shit retail park right at the edge.
started watching ted lasso.
it's not like it's very good or anything, and it's very on the nose, but... it's pleasant.
it's heart-warming.
nothing wrong with a feel-good series.

After watching Foundation, I 100% get this.
lol yeah. i was pretty hyped for it too..
i watched most of their shows and they range from horrendous to inoffensive. easily the worst out of the five streaming plattforms i have (d+, prime, appletv, netflix, hbo)

Meant to give that a what, but Disney Plus launched a week after Apple tv here, and I cancelled the sub straight away after finishing Foundation.
Might give it a watch whenever I reup my sub for Foundation 2.
All of Netflix's new shit the last 3 or so years besides very select mini-series is waaaaay worse than Apple TV's output.
Netflix is on their CBS content farm shit these days. Cowboy Bebop is the norm not the exception.

Netflix put out at least 4 critically well recieved(90%+ RT) new shows in 2021. midnight mass, arcane, squid game and maid.
Apple TV put out......none?
Who cares about the heaps of trash Netflix dumps every week? I'm not watching them and they still release better stuff than Apple. Miniseries or not.

I like the set up for next season but wanted more too. Watch invasion

Why would anyone give a shit about ratios and hit rates in this discussion?
All that matters as a consumer is how much good stuff they put out, and Apple have very little that is of any interest to me. I'll give Foundation a go at some point but expect to bounce off of it given the discussion around it.

Netflix has good to great content from all over the world not just american trash like apple tv. Probably the one i would keep if i could only sub to one service.
I finished it, but it wore very thin by the end.
I’ve never read the books, so I don’t know how much was them trying to be true to the books structure or what was done for the sake of TV, but man did I barely care by the end.
So far, only Ted Lasso and Mythic Quest have been unqualified successes for me from Apple. Couldn’t get in to Morning Show or See, Schmigadoon was alright I guess, and The Shrink Next Door seems decent. The John Stewart show was awful.

Apple have Macbeth and Scorsese’s next so I’ll keep it for now.
