My surprise is that his introduction and use in Mando is so poor, and the actor that plays him is so obviously out of his depth, that I just didn't think they'd bother putting the time and effort in for a spin off (since they already didn't in the Mando episodes).
there's no surprise, the entire franchise is now just building up to things that you saw in the original trilogy

It went from another dude sitting in Jon Stewart's chair to now being The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He nailed this shit after the pandemic changed everything. Set is nice too. I think he works better without the audience.
