First 9 are classic, after that there's some pearls in the later seasons but most of it is trash.
I did hear the newer seasons 28 and later were getting better but haven't seen any of those.

By DY_nasty Go To PostFeel like 24 was the first American show built like Korean Dramait was the dark souls of tv shows.
I’m going back through some of the high points of seasons 3 - 9 of The Simpsons, it’s not like it’s bad, but not exactly laugh out loud either

Futurama never vibed with me.
Maybe I'll appreciate it with adult eyes.
But yes, the Hank Scorpio episode is probably the last great episode - one of them at least.

yeah never liked futurama either as a kid. felt like too many jokes were references to american stuff that i didn't get.
early simpsons also had warmth. futurama was always "life is shit". i'd probably appreciate that more now as an adult but not as a kid. the entire premise is that he will never see his family or friends again and he's happy about it.

Plenty of episodes where he'll appreciate his family and things of his past.
Either way, I think Simpsons 2-8 > Futurama, but overall clearly Futurama > Simpsons.
Simpsons had not only the issue of the decreasing quality that started in season 8, but also being shackled by a rather small scenery. You can only do so much in Springfield with the family without getting boring.
I despise the current episodes that rely more and more on popular culture, politics etc. of the current time. It's just boring as fuck and it's one of the reasons that put me off South Park.
Futurama on the other hand could expand however the writers wanted. You're not bound to a lot of limits. Futurama also ended before it was terrible like the Simpsons, even though the later seasons and the movies aren't the same quality as the early seasons.
By sy is trying Go To PostFuturama doesn't have Bartdoesn't even have a millhouse
By DY_nasty Go To Postdoesn't even have a millhouseThey have a Zoidberg though..

I like both Futurama and Simpsons but early shit. Past a certain season or in Futuramas case coming back, nah I'm good.
I thought Futurama's return was pretty good.
There was a drop in quality sure but it went from 9/10 to 8/10.

Top tier trash TV. Constant cringe, cheap as shit.
Love it.
My current fave trash tv is Below Deck (and its spin offs Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht)
I really enjoyed this series called Upright
But are all Australians? Dickheads? every Australian tv show I watch, it’s all about a cunt ruining things and can’t even take responsibility

Edit: Mike Drucker deleted the tweet but he was basically accusing Hollywood minders as being enablers of the talents' abusive behaviour.
Started watching Prodigal Son and it's very entertaining. Michael Sheen is clearing having a blast playing a serial killer.
By Fenderputty Go To PostEven if you’re not into surfing, the 100 foot wave in HBO Max is really goodI just started watching this. Good stuff.
By Xpike Go To Postbeen watching legion and it feels like there is actually too much going at onceSeason 1? If you think that now.....lol
Season 2 gets really weird and that turned a lot of the audience off. But I loved it(and loved Mr Robot's S2 even more).
Great show. Shiit, it's worth watching just for Navid Negahban's performance. Steals every fucking scene.
spoilers for season 2 but whew
