By domino Go To PostIm mostly interested in season 4 purely as a creative challenge.
This season was so tight compared to the first two I’m curious just how good the creative team has gotten or was this just lightning in a bottle.
I think it helped that they cut down on the sex this season. Season 1 and 2 sex seemed to be the main driving point of the story.
Kurt Sutter running in to creative differences issues again. This time at Netflix.

By markao Go To PostThat one Orc lieutenant that thought the grass was greener on the other side, poor lad
lol
So next season he delivers the 9 to humans?

Great ending to that episode in particular.
Feels like a lot to cover in one more ep, and there’s been a distinct lack of Lamb in this season which I’m missing, but very entertaining as usual.
Weird they’re hiding what is obviously Weaving is River’s dad. Little bit of dramatic irony wouldn’t go amiss here.
By Fenderputty Go To PostlolThere's a lot I expect them to cover next season, but some storylines need to intersect and compress sooner than later

Nori helping the Stoors settle by the river (Smeagol's ancestors)
I assume the elves ended in Imladris, so they probably can timeskip building that and maybe even push Galadriel to Lorien
Numenor's fall
Elendil founds the kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor as the great war approaches
Grand Elf travels west
I have no clue who the other wizard is (this was actually the story of the blue wizards which is an unknown, but I also think the "hint" is the dark wizard must be Saruman? which makes no sense to me)
I've seen speculation that he's actually the Witch King of Angmar (will become him in the future) which tracks better with his dominion over men of the east. IDK, it could go either way but neither makes that much sense
Durin is challenged by whomever his brother is or whatever happened there, idk. He still has all the dwarven rings, so more conflict approaching
Sauron delivers the 9
Sauron crafts the One Ring in the finale
I mean, they planned 5 seasons, but I doubt it will go 5, so I reckon 4 seasons where the 4th is the last alliance, fall of Khazad Dum, etc.
I liked this season better than S1 tbh once I forgot who these characters were supposed to be anyway.
No idea how many seasons are planned, but they aren't going all the way to the start of LOTR? As in including the final battle after all rings are done.
But if there is only one more season after Halbrand going to Numerdor to hand over the 9 rings, I presume it is downfall Numerdor {queen palantir vision) and Khazad Dum.

If the goal is 5 seasons I don't see why they can't end with Isildur chopping the ring off.
I agree with the dark wizard. IT doesn't make sense he ends up as Saruman, but if he's not Saruman, how does a new wizard come down and pass Gandalf on the totem pole?
The rings seems to be tracking. Elves have them and are now using them openly. Durin clearly will too. So when the 9 are delivered the plan is almost complete.
I also enjoyed this season more. The story moved. Every episode felt like it carried some impact and wasn't just pure set up.
When I said crafting the one ring as the finale I meant the finale of season 3.
They are definitely doing the battle on the slopes mount doom.

Think they can get it done in 4 seasons, if S3 is not just the 9 rings for men Numerdor stuff.
Much as he is an idiot in many ways, I didn't buy him mistaking what looked like basic ass sex bots for real women in the latest episodes.

This Penguin show is the real deal for real. Between Colin, Cristin, and the overall story telling this is top tier television.
There are 3 particularly emotional scenes in the 3rd episode and it's just two characters talking to each other in incredibly meaningful ways.

show of the year brehs ;_;
Binged all of Kaos when my partner and I got covid
Enjoyed it a fair bit, but honestly it wrapped well enough for me to not care that they were definitely going to cancel it. Goldblum's probably too expensive, and Netflix is transitioning to being TLC so it never seemed like a fit
Also, fun to see Mawaan Rizwan's brother in it

This was great too. At least they ended it in an acceptable place. Clearly room for a season two and beyond but wrapped up enough it's still worth a watch if you haven't jumped in yet.
Also fuck netflix. Cancel all my shows I like.
Got thru first three episodes of Penguin. This is goooooooooooooooood TV, acting, how it looks, the pacing is perfect. Why only 8 episodes man!?
