Started season 3 of Slow Horses. Love the shows insistence on cutting Rivers big moments off at the knees. He's clearly good at the job, but makes some form of fuck up to never be seen as a sort of super spy figure.

How does one stumble on season 2 and notice a show is shitty when simply watching any of season 1 will clue you in?
lots of shows don't really pick up steam until their second season. Maybe psy just wanted to give it a fighting chance.
I don't start any older(80s-2000s) basic cable tv show or sitcom that I haven't seen before with their first season.
I assume it's dogshit and most of the time I'm right. If I finish it, I'll go back and watch as a sort of bonus.

i watched a lot of Charmed growing up w/ one of my best friends in middle school. dude had all the DVDs and would always put it on when we were over at his house. didn't realize until we were older and he came out that we enjoyed it for very different reasons but we laugh about it now.
awful show lol. makes for nice background TV though.

I did this with Grey’s Anatomy with my partner. Recommended she watch it on maternity leave as something to do and now we’re watching together on season 8 lol
My thoughts on Friends are a bit weird now compared to any other show I can think of.
When I catch a bit of it now, from any episode in any season, it doesn't even raise a smile. The only quality it has that I still enjoy is Schwimmer's performance.
But I can't accept that it's bad because I've watched every episode at least five times since it was on repeat so often and for so long on Freeview, and I bloody loved it between the ages of like 13 and 18

I still laugh a lot at it. The main cast are all really good for the most part. Perry carries it for a few seasons, there’s one or two seasons when everyone’s firing, then LeBlanc, Aniston and Schwimmer for the last four or five seasons when Chandler marries Monica and both of them turn into ghouls.

schwimmer is an annoying, whiny mug.
Ross is awful until about season 4 or 5 and then they decided to make him a psychopath and from then on he’s pretty great. Schwimmer’s very good at that side of things.
