It's really irritating how the Vought HQ building is used in establishing shots in The Boys. It jumps from the Trump Tower location on 5th Ave. to 6th and now it appears to be near Carnegie Hall on 7th Avenue. But then they'll have it twenty blocks south near the Empire State Building in other street level shots. Small detail that is likely not noticed by most but is something that is so easily avoidable.
By DY_nasty Go To Postbooger eating showProbably the most accurate description of the boys

Just finished Presumed Innocent. Thought the first half was weak and the second half was much stronger.
Why did people on here have an issue with the ending? Nothing wrong with it.

i think that was my favorite episode of the show so far. i could watch a whole show of Rishi's cultural and financial highwire act

Was out of the blue, but bloody brilliant. I was not feeling it a first, but as the whole thing went on it just got more and more fascinating.
I think the next episode might show what the other characters were doing during the course of the events. Seems random that would have Venetia just quit like that.
Started Homicide: Life on the Street with season 3. 1st two seasons only have like 5 eps.
Was not expecting to see Munch from SVU in this lol. Looked it up and Richard Belzer has played Munch across 11 different shows wtf.

Makes the whole thing garbage
George RR Martin shat on House of The Dragon so hard HBO made him delete it about 10 minutes after it went up
“ I have no idea what Ryan has planned — if indeed he has planned anything”💀
I skimmed through most of the post to avoid any potential spoilers ... doesn't seem that vitriolic to me.
Finished the four seasons of The Boys. Seasons 1-3 are pretty comparable. Season 4 is just full of nonsensical stuff and outright boring plot lines that are resolved within an episode or two and end up being meaningless. It's probably good that there are only 8 more episodes in the series because they're running on fumes.
I also didn't appreciate that there's apparently a spinoff show, Gen V, who's first season takes place between seasons 3 & 4 of The Boys and directly ties into events that happen. The previously on...trailers before a few season 4 episodes were showing stuff I hadn't seen. I was very confused until I looked into it. They should try and make it clear that there's another show and that you should watch that before starting season 4.

By reilo Go To PostS4 Finale is also a direct tie-in to the Gen V it seems like, which I also never seen.Well that sucks and also makes sense because the abruptness of that climax really seemed rushed.
By n8 dogg Go To PostSlow Horses was great funThink I have a month or two remaining on my Apple TV 6 month trial. I'm going to watch this and Severance next.

Rings of power has be ok so far. First season took a while to get going but this has moved on nicely so far think. I’m sure the purists aren’t happy, and it’s not great but it’s been entertaining. I do like the inclusion of a certain book character that the movies completely left out
Sunny on Apple plus has been fun … two episodes left. Getting a little weird heh.
Bad monkeys is meh but it’s something my wife and I can watch so I’m getting through it. Not as good as sunny atvall
Gonna start slow horses tonight. Good shit

When did it turn into this apparent must watch show? Could've sworn you guys told me S2 and S3 were just okay when I asked whether I should continue after S1, which I liked, but no more than that.
I don't recall saying that! It's a fun time, never really changes its tune, knows exactly what type of show it is and sticks to it, and basically plays everything like an anthology without feeling the need to up the stakes with each passing season.
Plus all the character work and acting is fantastic.
At 6 episodes per season it's super low commitment and there's zero filler.

This is exactly it.
It’s not The Sopranos - but it knows it. Great pulpy fun, great ensemble. Oldman and KST alone worth watching for.

3 episodes in, I agree with your opinion. I've found it entertaining in almost a 'well, fuck it' kind of way. It also helped that the first couple episodes left the 2 most boring threads of S1 out (Numenor and the southerners).
Watched all four episodes ... it's a perfectly cromulent show that's been put in the wrong hands, unfortunately.
The most disappointing thing about S2 is that it's showing no improvement upon S1.

Been watching The Rookie because I needed a light show to watch before bed.
The show is actually pretty fun but I am glad they dropped the love story between Nathan Fillion and a 20 something woman quickly because that was definitely creepy.
I was actually surprised by how messed up the show gets in one episode in S2.
It's weird how just not playing some background music is enough to change the mood of a scene.

The Rookie is good light fun but it's pretty ridiculous how "good" these cops are. Everyone knows the book by heart and is a perfect human being.
Fell off it after nathan fillions black partner left/got fired from the show. They had the best dynamic in the show by far. Too many annoying characters like the blonde super cop and the boy scout daddy issues cop

They try to torture at least one suspect an episode, It is equally ridiculous.

Shogun has won a heap of technical awards at the Emmys. Sound, editing, cinematography etc. A week before the main awards ceremony too.
Finished Gen V last night. That was pretty good. I liked the core cast. Think this does enhance The Boys plot and setting in a good way.
Sad to learn that the actor that played Andre died on the way up to Toronto to begin filming for season 2.

Yeah this is how I've approached the entire series. I'm just in it for some fantasy fun which this is.
I think / hope the eventual inclusion of those two story lines won't be as boring with the ring creation ramping up. Because yeah ... both of those lines in season one were SLOW. Isildur out here running around with Ents and the southerners are all basically orcish slaves. Numenor had a change or guard that took up like 5 minutes of screen time lol.
Give me more elves fighting grave wraiths and shit and I'll be happy.
