By n8 dogg Go To PostS1 and 2 were good. 3 was terrible. The first time?!?!
Just watched the Lost pilot for the first time. Fun.
Also started S7 of Grey’s Anatomy. Also fun.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostI liked the show but it wrapped everything up so I’m not sure where they go
I think I'm in the minority of people on here who really like this show but even I don't see why they are doing this.
me addressing the six year old on the blue team at laser tag who is calling for his mum:
Yes, brother. Missed the boat first time. Think what I’ve learned of it through cultural osmosis always put me off but fuck it, it’s on Netflix now #wemove

I'll be very curious to see how it plays for a first time watcher in 2024.
But man, watching it as it aired...in terms of the experience as a viewer watching it during its original run, it'll never ever be defeated. The GOAT, it was magical.
I wish streaming services did more playlists. Like I want to watch all the Halloween specials of various shows in a row but I'm also part of the 1% that watches old shit

Been watching Modern Family, just started season 3. I don't find it that funny but it's enjoyable enough I suppose

Like all the bitchy stuff this chick did in Vampire Diaries? We got you covered!
Don't consider myself a Vince Vaughn fan in the slightest, but I'm quite enjoying Bad Monkey.
Burn Notice vibes ... if a slightly more subdued Bruce Campbell was the protagonist.

Stopped at season 3 myself.
My wife is watching Locke and Key and and they found some girl dead in a well, got her out, and threw her off a cliff into water
This might be one of the most unintentionally hilarious scenes ever, and those are the best kind of scenes.

By domino Go To PostIndustry is much improved this season you can tell HBO kinda gave their team some help to position it as a feature show for them now that Succession is over.
Ratings are way up for it too
I heard the premise of Industry a year back. Thought it was amazing, but never watched it.
Binged it a month ago as I heard season 3 was coming, and was a bit disappointed. It did just enough each episode to make me stay with it.
But oh boy, season 3 is something else.
Glad I stuck with it.

I'm about to binge it, too.
Part of me thinks those books have been done he just doesn’t want to release them for whatever dumbass reason
Cuz I’m not understanding how you just drop that and start writing books for a spinoff of your own series

Rings of Power Season 2 early reviews seem to be pretty rough.
I knew them moving away from New Zeeland was already a major tell that they didn't care.

The hell ... I could've sworn Snowpiercer was cancelled after 2 seasons, but apparently it's alive and well and S4 is currently airing. Wild.

Bet the reaction to the series made it even worse because he's afraid of it resembling it even a bit.

He sold the end of the series to HBO. While I'm sure the details of how it get to the end are different, the larger points are likely much the same. They finished his story and got lampooned for the final season and a large part of that was Bran.
My assumption is that he's happy to leave his written works as is because of the above.

Basically the last part. I bet there's even contractual verbiage about not being able to change the ending he sold to them.

starting something new is a million times easier than finishing something
I do believe he wants to finish them. It's his legacy after all.
It's just very hard to do it with a satisfying conclusion for a writer of his type.

Why the fuck did Mindhunter end after 2 seasons? Just finished watching it over the last couple weeks. Really enjoyed it.
By HottestGrapes Go To PostWhy the fuck did Mindhunter end after 2 seasons? Just finished watching it over the last couple weeks. Really enjoyed it.It became too expensive and labour intensive to produce (ie. classic 2 season limit by Netflix + no super big audience).
Can’t be taking resources away from stranger things 5, set a couple of years after season 1 but somehow all the kids are 20 years old now
By s y brev Go To Postbecause you are watching it now instead of when your data matteredWell shit, they should’ve marketed it better.
By domino Go To Postoh thats easyStephen King has been phoning in his endings for years, it's fine.

Stephen King can come up with decent concepts but can't write up a good ending to save his life
The Mist's ending was fucking hilarious and brilliant because it had nothing to do with his book

in the book they just drive through the mist and pick up a signal saying "Hartford" giving them hope there's survivors out there.
Rings of Power season 2 is out today.
Sitting at a cool 66 on Metacritic, under the 70 that season 1 got. Ruh roh.
Will (probably hate) watch the first episode at least and go from there

I'm on the last episode of the first season of The Boys.
The show is not bad, but it's also not great. Good production values and the performances are all pretty solid though, so that's at least something. Karl Urban and Elizabeth Shue are very, very good.
The season is only eight episodes and I can't help but feel like nothing really happens in half of them. It took until episode 6 to learn the Butcher character's motivation. The other half of his team still hasn't been explained.
I don't know. I don't see how this show is such a hit.

It's good gory fun. It's kind of like early South Park where you would tune in to see how much they would push the envelope.
In the later seasons, the jokes are starting to be too close to reality that stop being funny.
Still, as someone who likes Supernatural, it's always fun to see the old gang show up.
