Gotta say I was a little let down by the last X-Men episode.
they had a 3 episode build up that ended with oh shit it's phoenix and a random rip in time without any foreshadowing.
Getting to see early Apocalypse was lit tho.
Still maintain that the pacing is bad but it is better than almost anything Disney has done with Marvel and good fun.

The sports streaming joint venture from Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery finally has a name: Venu Sports.
The company’s name and logo were announced this morning by CEO Pete Distad. The service expects to launch this fall in the U.S., though it faces a legal challenge from pay-TV company Fubo and resistance from some corners of the industry and federal government. The companies first revealed plans for the initiative last February.
“We are excited to officially introduce Venu Sports, a brand that we feel captures the spirit of an all-new streaming home where sports fans outside of the traditional pay TV eco-system can experience an incredible collection of live sports, all in one place,” Distad said. “As preparations for the platform continue to accelerate, we are singularly focused on delivering a best-in-class product for our target audience, built from the ground up using the latest technologies to engage and entertain discerning sports fans wanting one-stop access to live games.”

Shōgun is a limited series no more: FX is gearing up for more installments of the historic drama.
The renewal was expected and foreshadowed by star-producer Hiroyuki Sanada closing a deal to continue as Lord Yoshii Toranaga. Also back are co-creators, executive producers and writers Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo as well as EP Michaela Clavell.
For now, FX and streaming partner Hulu are saying that they are working with the estate of Shōgun author James Clavell to to develop two additional seasons.
There is no mention of a green light, and a start date for production has not been set, but a writers’ room is being assembled and will begin this summer. There is also no information on source material, whether the new seasons will stay within the Shōgun universe or will also draw from the other books in Clavell’s Asian Saga.
Along with garnering strong reviews, Shōgun amassed 9M views globally across Hulu, Disney+ and Star+ in its first six days, becoming the company’s No. 1 general entertainment series internationally. Viewers’ interest remained strong, and, through its first nine weeks, Shōgun is FX’s most-watched show ever based on global hours streamed.

between this, Dune, Constellation and 3BP. Scifi buffs are eating good!
Constellation was a fucking trip. The ending was rough tho.
One of the reasons I’m glad Netflix didn't cancel is because their sci fi stuff kinda sucks. They’ll push out crap like rebel moon lol

This would've been deemed a jump-the-shark moment if they wrote this into the show but alas reality finds a way

By CNBCThe three companies haven't yet formally signed paperwork on the venture as they await regulatory approval. If Warner Bros. Discovery loses the NBA, that will diminish the value of the service for consumers, as NBCUniversal and Amazon aren't partners in the product.
Warner Bros. Discovery licenses the rights to other sports leagues and groups, including MLB, the NHL and the National Collegiate Athletic Association's March Madness. The company will also have the NBA next year no matter what, as the new rights deal doesn't kick in until the end of the 2024-25 season.
There's been no discussion about shutting down the venture before it launches if Warner Bros. Discovery loses the NBA, according to a person familiar with the matter. Still, without the NBA, Disney and Fox would be contributing the lion's share of sports content for the service. Disney's ESPN and Fox own both college football and NFL packages, unlike Warner Bros. Discovery. The three companies plan to split revenue commensurate with the affiliate fees associated with their linear networks.
Warner Bros. Discovery could use the money it saves from not obtaining NBA rights to spend on other sports, such as more MLB games or bidding for UFC, which will likely begin renewal discussions with media companies in early 2025.
ESPN plans to launch its own "flagship" streaming service in the fall of 2025.
So Disney is partnering with Fox Sports and WB for this Venu side hustle for $40-50 a month. But then also planning to release a new dedicated ESPN service late next year in addition to offering ESPN+?
What a fucking mess from all involved.
If these sports leagues weren't run by such old boys club geezers, they'd see that the real long game money is in direct to consumer delivery. Just sell your sport/league/clubs for a flat fee and give consumers everything in one place. All this piecemeal shit is awful and only justifies piracy.

The first episode of this Kevin Spacey doc on HBO is wild. All these victims keep blaming themselves for him just whipping his dick out.
Looks like they're adapting the Fables and Reflection volume of Sandman. That's one of the best ones.

Twisted Metal is miles better than it has any right being
Hopefully the second season has a bigger budget for sets, costumes and lighting

Having watched 2 seasons of Reacher I'm confident that the following will happen within the first couple of minutes:
1. At least five people are gonna remark loudly and openly on his incredible size
2. One guy 170cms tall is gonna walk up to him and try to wrestle him like it's no big deal
