What kind of fucked up shit was DeMayo's doing that got himself fired?
Because X-Men 97 is way too good to just drop him like that.

I have finished Fallout. I am now invested in this franchise. Well done Nolan/Joy/Amazon. The most unexpected part has to be the comedy. That stuff worked for me. Two people discussing sex from cult-informed perspectives is one of the funniest scenes in recent memory. Gonna pat myself on the back for finishing 8 hours of TV this quickly while working and having a life.

Watched the first two episodes and it's decent. Not gonna be the next big thing but it's entertaining enough to finish I think. Dumb, gory and very pretty for a TV show.

Can't remember who it was (maybe Wooden?) but someone here tried to claim Ella Purnell is ugly and it still rankles to this day.

Fallout needs the vault intrigue I think, without it there's no throughline to get it's hooks into me. Always weird when you haven't noticed how long an episode is and it ends after 40 minutes. End credit animations are nice.

I went back.
The Fallout show has me conflicted but I’m gonna try to keep the post positive.
The good:
+It perfectly represents the iconography of Fallout 3/4.
+Lucy works great as the main character. Ella Purnell plays the part well.
+Walton Goggins.
+Healthy amount of references to all of the mainline Fallout games.
+The gore
The bad:
-Too many plot points feel like retreading ground from plot points of F3/4.
-The portrayal of the BoS, in it’s entirety. Power armour included. Platoon of buffoons.
-The plot itself is honestly bad. Relies way to heaviy on pre-war characters and events considering it’s 220 years or whatever after the Great War, and set on the west coast.
I can see why a lot of people like it. Beyond the gleam of a few good performances and being a visually faithful adaptation though, it just doesn’t hold up for me. I hope it gets better in the next season. There’s potential, hopefully they keep Todd away from S2

A “Golden Axe” animated series has been greenlit at Comedy Central, Variety has learned.
Based on the beloved Sega games of the same name, the show hails from co-creators Mike McMahan and Joe Chandler. Matthew Rhys (“The Americans,” “Perry Mason”), Danny Pudi (“Community,” “Mythic Quest”), Lisa Gilroy (“Jury Duty,” “Interior Chinatown”), Liam McIntyre (“Spartacus,” “The Flash”), and Carl Tart (“Grand Crew,” “Star Trek: Lower Decks”) will lead the voice cast.
Comedy Central has ordered 10 episodes. The official description of the series states the show “follows veteran warriors Ax Battler (McIntyre), Tyris Flare (Gilroy), and Gilius Thunderhead (Rhys) as they once again battle to save Yuria from the evil giant Death Adder who just won’t seem to stay dead. Fortunately, this time they have the inexperienced and underprepared Hampton Squib (Pudi) on their side.”
Character Descriptions
–Matthew Rhys will play Gilius Thunderhead, a grumpy battle dwarf with exceptionally poor hygiene and a chip on his shoulder.
–Danny Pudi will play Hampton Squib, a naive, inexperienced first time adventurer who has dreamt of questing his entire life. He hopes his can-do attitude can make up for his inability to actually do stuff.
–Lisa Gilroy will play Tyris Flare, a fearsome battle sorceress, deadly in a fight and even deadlier with her sharp wit.
–Liam McIntyre will play Ax Battler, a barbarian warrior with a strict code of honor and sweet golden retriever demeanor. His brawn outweighs his brains, but his heart outweighs his brawn.
–Carl Tart will play Chronos “Evil” Lait, originally from “Golden Axe III”, is a 100% badass humanoid panther. At least that’s how Chronos describes himself. In reality he’s uncomfortably cheesy and can’t read a room.
