Episode 2 is leagues better than episode 1, primarily because it doesn't exists as a recap/extended bridge between your memories of the old cartoon and this new series. Ep2 is where the story fully starts. This is going to be an interesting run.

By Kidjr Go To PostDo women get sopranos? Every woman I've recommended it finds it boring.
My sister was the one who started me on the Sopranos.
I see, introduced it to a few female friends who you usually like the character driven dramas but just can't click with Tony. Both of them loved better call Saul and mad men.

By domino Go To PostXMen 97 is sweetAnd season 1 should look even better starting with episode 3. The worst parts of the show have been where they try to do the fake 2d (which they did a few times in episodes 1 and little in 2). Episode 3 will look even better.
Glad to hear they are already working on season 2
Been watching Hannibal from the start since I've never seen Season 3 from start to finish.
Just noticed Neil Marshall's name pop up on the opening credits and was a bit surprised about that so I checked the list of directors for the whole show.
The directors of The Descent, Cube and The Changeling (the 1980 movie) all directed episodes of Hannibal, no wonder this show is amazing.
I wished Tarsem Singh had directed a few episodes, he would fit perfectly with the style.
Since I am talking about the show, the sound design is on another level for a network show.
Still amazed this got made and aired on NBC, this would have probably thrived on a streaming service.

Hannibal was amazing.
The Following was good too and on around the same time on Fox. That was another show that felt a bit too gruesome for network TV.

Man this Nickeoldeon docu-series about child stars and Dan Schneider is unbelievably sad and shocking, given I used to watch those shows as a teen :(
what a fucking cunt
what a fucking cunt
What's crazy is that those allegations have been the biggest open secret for years. I've been hearing about creepy Dan Schneider shit since I was watching Nickolodean. Same with the nasty Ren n Stimpy creator.

Remember when she posted on that Twitter burner account about her boss knocking her up at 13 and making her get an abortion?
none of the Dan Schneider stuff was new to me. those stories have always been around. besideseven going back to All That I always thought his shows were weird. once he got those teenager sitcoms he just hit the gas on the weird shit.
the stuff about Drake Bell getting molested was wild though

What is wild, is they found nothing more on him tbh. As you said, we already knew this stuff.
Toxic asshole yelling and screaming at everyone, forcing cowriters to give him massages and so on. That was kind of expected and known, and we have seen what he showed on the shows. But I am surprised there wasnt a brian peck smoking gun on dan schneider.
if anything drake bell clearly tells he was a support doing the brian peck court case, as one of the very few. and turns out, he even wrote the court statement for drake bells mom. while a million other big hollywood people were writing character letters to defend brian peck, who was then hired by Disney just after being released, despite being a registered sex offender.
but i am sure dan also got a signed painting from john wayne gacy.
By Dazenheimer Go To PostEnjoying 3 Body Problemfirst episode was good fun.
3 Body Problem was alright. Went in expecting worse so it turned out ok I suppose. Bit with the large boat and the nano-fibres was fun. Eiza Gonzalez is distractingly good-looking.
By DiPro Go To Postfirst episode was good fun.I like the focus on the characters - they aren't as flat as in the books - also, thankful they decided to set in the UK instead of the US (where EVERYTHING tends to happen).
@Horse, there are definitely some very cool moments (EP5 Paname sequence = Jesus ) and reveals that really land. It is not without its flaws, but for such a dense series of books - Season 1 was always going to be mainly set up.
So ecstatic that they did the Wallfacer Program though!!
Just make like an ending movie of them in college or something because they'll be 30 year olds by the next time they film

having watched two season of the Chinese version about 1/2 year ago, it all feels a bit strange.
Pacing feels off, as in one episode more happens than in 4 of the Chinese one. Also everything that happens to main characters not being located in China (+UK) needs some adjusting.
But lets see were they go from here as I only watched first two episodes
I read the first book (which, tbf, I don't really care for), but the fact they turned the main character into 5 makes me scratch my head. There's not enough substance there to split it into 4 additional characters.
By markao Go To Posthaving watched two season of the Chinese version about 1/2 year ago, it all feels a bit strange.Yeah, I put off watching the Chinese version - I didn't want to go through that adjustment period.

This version is not slavishly devoted to the books, and actually elevates particular themes which are central to the books without sacrificing the greater picture themes.
Theres like 30 episodes in the Chinese version too, so, yeah, things move quickly in the newer version.
By Laboured Go To PostDo I need to brush up on any Lore before watching X-Men 97?Should probably read up on the Holocaust and the civil rights movement.

You should watch the 2009 classic, X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2-3 times. That’ll cover 99% of the character backstories.
I really wasn’t into it. Watched both episodes, watched the original show a little bit in my childhood. Didn’t even feel nostalgia for it. I’m a broken man.

nah they basically summarize up where it left off in episode 1

Finally watching The Boys.
The source material is SO much better. The series feels flat and shallow, and very dumb at times.

Also, watching Atlanta and Earn really is becoming a huge douchebag in Season 2.
By Elchele Go To Postbecoming?Season 1 Earn I can get because he's broke af.
dude is exhausted let him be
But Season 2 Earn is coming into some money, is Al's "manager" and just goofs around.
Then the only one who doesn't want to play him, he tries to play and loses her.
So yeah, he's a douchebag lol.
