I started Band of Brothers after 15 years of having the blu-ray tin boxset.
Actually, I started it a 10-12 years back I think, but stopped after ten minutes because of Ross.
Sensational television.
Six episodes down so far, the medic one was immense.

I didn't realize that Hazbin Hotel has something in common with The Color Purple (2023) and Mean Girls (2024). Another instance of keeping that element under the wraps. Anyway, 2 episodes in and the voicemail bit is one of the funniest things I've seen this young year. Very impressive character designs too.
Doesn't he always get made to look like a complete idiot immediately afterwards, and he actually grows out of it over the course of the series? Maybe today it makes more sense to just erase that part of his character entirely and make him more likable from the start (at the risk of just making him bland since it's fairly key to a lot of his early scenes iirc), but it never felt to me like the joke was on the female characters.
He gets called out for it in the first 30 seconds of the 1st episode by Katara(she literally calls him sexist) and him growing from it after meeting Suki is a big part of his character Development.
This is 100% a change because they don't want people to think they are endorsing misogyny and characters in "kid" shows can't have actual character flaws.

Glad I'm skipping this anyway, shouldn't have been made in the first place.
Is the dude with the down bad arrow on his forehead like a nothing character?
Every time Avatar comes up people discuss anyone but him.

Aang has the arrow tattoo, he's the audience type surrogate character to explore the world. He's not very interesting, he's there as a foil for more interesting characters to bounce off.
Bro, just watch the cartoon series. It will be infinitely better than anything Netflix will shit out.

Aang is like Luke Skywalker, fairly standard heroes journey so he won't stand out much but nothing wrong with that, someone's gotta do it
The relationship he has with Kitara throughout the series makes me a bit uncomfortable with where it almost goes

This Lipton episode is amazing.
One of the best episodes of TV I have ever.
Had me gripped from start to end.
Sad to see so many of the guys get taken out. The church scene was haunting.

Finished Fargo S5 yesterday. Very good season for sure, not quite glory days good for me.
Juno Temple the best thing about it by far. Stellar performance.

Yeah I can't make up my mind about Fargo S5. I can kinda see how people think it's a return to form while also sort of understanding why some think it's a bit of a self-parody at times.

Feels so far like very good, very polished entertainment without being transcendent like S2 was or without the surprise factor of S1. Gonna watch Ep3 now.
Almost finished Season 4 of The Sopranos and I'm disappointed. The show doesn't go anywhere. It's basically the same as it was at the start. Minor characters come and go but nothing is developing. I would have thought there would be increasing tension between Tony and the authorities but any of those plot points just seem to fizzle out. It's basically just a family mellow drama. Is this really the highest rated television show of all time? At least get to see lots of tits but how has he not banged the therapist yet?
Because Melfi is a lady of class.
Dunno what to tell you, brother. It’s a character based show, not necessarily a plot one.

It's a show about how a very low level mafia crew live
If the feds wanted they could get him at any time

He’s an old-fashioned guy, Wooden. Very allegorical.
By s y Go To PostThe latest SVU episode might have been one of the most bizarre episodes of television I've ever watched. This could have easily been a south park episode.
A mob of teenagers raid a high end clothing store. During this smash n grab, a white married lesbian woman is raped by a black teenager(18 yrs old). Throughout the investigation, the rape victim struggles to recall the events of the attack, is strangely uncooperative but eventually(very reluctantly) identifies the suspect.
Trial begins. During the proceedings, the victim's lesbian white wife is noticeably frustrated. She later expresses that she's having a tough time because…..she's doesn't think the rapist who raped her wife is getting a fair trial because he's black.
Trial resumes, the victim is on the stand and the prosecutor asks that she identify her assailant for the courtroom….she becomes unresponsive, damn near catatonic. Recess.
She explains that although she(and the audience) knows that the rapist did indeed rape her…she is white, privileged and can afford therapy, she will recover from her raping….but what about the rapist?
