By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostSlow Horses finale.Duffy got what he deserved.
Incredible.
It's such a sensational show and it's so good knowing that the next season is already shot and ready to go. They're already prepping season five!
Finished SILO
Good stuff, easy to follow, nice bit of mystery if a bit easy to work out the ending.
Becca Fergie only has 2 acting acting settings tho and is very difficult to understand sometimes., but she was great regardless.
Can't wait for season 2 - I dont know what kind of decoding apple tv uses, but their shows pops on the OLED.

Just finished. Is it worth buying the books? Don’t think I can wait a year after the S4 trailer lol

By n8 dogg Go To PostJust finished. Is it worth buying the books? Don’t think I can wait a year after the S4 trailer lolI read through the entire series over the summer and quite enjoyed them. Like the show, they do a good job of balancing the spy thriller elements with dark comedy.
Herron's most recent one, The Secret Hours, is maybe my favorite; it's technically not a Slough House book, but is a prequel that tells the story of a younger Jackson Lamb in Berlin.
How many books are there? I hope there are a lot of potential seasons.
Seeing Lamb back in the day would be great.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostHow many books are there? I hope there are a lot of potential seasons. There's eight novels, a collection of short stories titled Standing by the Wall, and a couple of non-Slough House books that are in the same universe in Nobody Walks and The Secret Hours.
Seeing Lamb back in the day would be great.
I figure Secret Hours will get adapted eventually since it really fleshes out Lamb's character.
‘Slow Horses’ Renewed for Season 5 at Apple TV+ (EXCLUSIVE)
Gary Oldman’s band of MI5 misfits are set to return for another outing.
“Slow Horses,” the hit Apple TV+ series based on Mick Herron’s spy series of the same name, has been renewed for a fifth season, Variety can confirm.
Oldman, who recently earned a Golden Globe nod for his performance in the show as irascible spook Jackson Lamb, will return alongside Kristin Scott Thomas, who plays MI5 second desk Diana Taverner, Jack Lowden as espionage nepo baby River Cartwright and Christopher Chung as cocky geek Roddy Ho.
“Everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected,” reads the logline for Season 5. “After all, Jackson Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, ‘London Rules’ should always apply.”
Season 5 is set to be adapted from the fifth book in Herron’s series, “London Rules.” The director is still to be confirmed.

Watched Murder Is Easy
Standard enjoyable Christie adaptation, low budget TV shows seem much better at hitting that atmosphere than Branagh's films are. Looks like it deviates a lot more from the book than I assumed.

Despite trying to resist watching again for a year atleast. Had some family over and connected over succession - decided to throw on Dundee.
That rap performance is etched in my brain forever, didnt know Strong wanted it cut (and I can imagine reading that in script and being like wtf).
So so so good, really hard to deny it being my favourite show of all time.
"L to the OG
Dude be the OG
A-N he playing
Playing like a pro, see"
gets me everytime

Much better than most of my other thoughts, I found myself in a spiral of ranking jlo films the other day after a debate my wife and I had. I wouldn't subject you all to that lmao
Money train is high high on her list my wife and I really clashed over maid in manhatten vs the wedding planner

Agreed
Loki season 2 was a ride. I liked the feeling of despair and hopelessness in the last two couple of episodes even though it was clear what needed to happen.

And now I need to watch Out of Sight again.
lol
The director needs to be fired for thinking it would be cool to do a long take on a fight scene.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostI've finally done it lads. I've started The Sopranos. Two episodes down.First season aged a little poorly, but 2nd and 3rd are timeless masterpieces
resubbed to apple tv because i figured i’d try and finish watching silo. couldn’t make it past episode 6. the set design is bad, and the green screen is so apparent, it’s hard to unnotice it. i’m curious about the mystery, but it’s turned into this very boring procedural drama—and i just don’t care.
so i switched to slow horses. aside from mi5 seemingly being run by a bunch idiots, this is a fun series. started and finished season 1 yesterday. will hop into season 2 today.
keep thinking cartwright is a younger simon pegg.

By reilo Go To PostIt's crazy how different S2 of Foundation is over S1Agreed, it was much better.

Agreed. S1 was not my cup of tea so I had to convince myself to give S2 a go and it paid off.
By DiPro Go To Postwhat isn't but foundation season 1 was awful, although tbf i quit after episode 2 lol.You would
S1 was tough to get through but S2 is phew
Some of these band of brothers scenes aged really badly. Banger show anyway, but almost all of the episode fighting in bastogne looked off.
Goodbye my friend, tell my wife and kid I love them
Being showered in gud scifi TV last five years
Hope S4 of For All Mankind cuts out a lot of the family melodrama
