By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostSuch a horrid person. She plays London rules well. It's catching up to her but I feel like all of this will lead to one big twist in the end
By reilo Go To PostAndre Braugher had lung cancer and was diagnosed only a few months ago 😔
Don't smoke.

When Ms. Allen confirmed his death this week, she said he had died after a brief illness. A 2014 profile by The New York Times Magazine said that Mr. Braugher was intensely private and “stopped drinking alcohol and smoking years ago.”
Another day, another sci-fi announcement from Apple TV Plus. The streamer is continuing to expand its presence in the genre with the news that it’s adapting The Murderbot Diaries novels from author Martha Wells. This interests me
There’s no word yet on when the show will premiere, but it’ll be a 10-episode-long series and feature Alexander Skarsgård as the lead. Chris and Paul Weitz will serve as showrunners, while David S. Goyer — who helms the Apple TV Plus adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation — will be one of the executive producers.
If you haven’t read the books — you can check out our review right here — Apple says the adaption is “about a self-hacking security android who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable ‘clients.’” In the show, “Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.”
Just watched all of Duckman. It was alright bordering on great for a couple seasons. Jason Alexander and Nancy Travis have great chemistry. She should've been on Seinfeld.
Just rewatched Band of Brothers in preparation for Masters of the Air. Was going to space the episodes out but ending up binging the whole show over the past 48 hours. Still holds up.

The books are fantastic, but it's a huge challenge to adapt. A big part of their appeal is the main character's internal monologue. Something which doesn't always translate well from page to screen. I'm interested to see if they do a show-within-a-show for the television series it watches, that would be fun.

I took a leap of faith and started watching season 1 last night. Made it through 5 episodes before calling it a night. Enjoy the show a lot. It's like the later half of Justified - Season 1 when they figured out the show as better off being serialized inside of villain of the week. First episode of Reacher starts with a crime, introduces the character, the town we'll be focusing on, and the mystery ramps up and unfolds over the course of the episodes I watched. Sidenote, Willa Fitzgerald looks like someone I should know or have seen before, but I checked her IMDB and I literally have not watched any other TV show or movie she's acted in. Odd.
I had the same feeling but then I realised that I must have seen her in the Scream TV series but I can't remember a single thing about that show besides the fact that I think Ghostface has a different mask on that.
First two episodes of season 2 are good. Reacher's team is great and there's a funny Terminator joke.
Speaking of Terminator, Reacher is even larger in this season, it's absolutely ridiculous.

Like this Reacher show, solid investigation work.
That's why I like the movies too even though Cruise is miscast a bit.

EDIT: wth how did I miss Louisa's hands having a disability
Oh man, that shocked me when I saw it in S3. Couldn’t believe I hadn’t noticed it.
By reilo Go To PostSlow Horses S3: Spider's a twat, news at 11, had it coming
Fucking brilliant.
Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb is a top 10 TV performance.
Fucking sucks I am all caught up now and have to wait for new episodes.
Can’t believe I have been sleeping on Apple TV.
Started Severance today. Episode 1 was a bit meh, but the ending was interesting enough to make me want to see where it is going.
Watched S1 of Slow Horses. Idk brehs, not really feeling it outside of Oldman. Which is to say I think it's almost actively bad outside of Oldman.

Wrong opinion imho
Terrible opinion, really. Kristin Scott Thomas and Jack Lowden are both great in it for different reasons.
Watching what we do in the shadows and it's pretty good, the addition of the energy vampire helps the show vs the movie
Agree with sy. First 3 seasons very enjoyable. I thought 4 was actively bad. 5’s decent.
Don’t feel sorry for us, brother. We’re enjoying it.
By Laboured Go To PostI'm sorry you feel that way.

I'm sorry but I cannot respect any show that pulls that level of bait and switch with its only other good actor, Olivia Cooke. It's direspectful to my time.

Quite a few things I liked about it; the premise, Oldman's performance in particular, also Cooke's and Lowden's ... but there are just as many things I didn't much care for. Mostly the subdued ridiculousness, dare I say 24-ness of much of the spy work. It gets more tolerable once you let go of the idea of this being a top-tier spy drama and decide to enjoy it for what it is, but that realization brought the show down considerably for me.
Didn't love it, didn't hate it, will probably give S2 a go one of these weeks. How does it compare to S1?

I love the series. It adapts the material well and hits the exact notes that it needs to. It captures Herron's tone and darkly funny writing so well and I can't imagine anybody else in those roles.
Reacher folding dudes up after repeatedly telling them "you dont want these problems" never gets old
