All the stuff introduced in episode 2 of Invincible is a little jarring but I enjoyed the episode. Was not expecting a random cursed city and actual shadow realm. I wish this show wasn't so mid visually, that Debbie breakdown scene at the end might have had some impact. Sucks that there are only 2 episodes left until it breaks for 6 months.
Loki is the best thing Marvel has released since Endgame. Enjoyed the second season a lot. Fleshed out Loki as a character and did more for the multi verse story than any movie has.
halfway through season two of atlanta. it is exceptional. the writing and the performances are so good, it still manages to feel so very naturalistic even when something crazy happens.

i'm sure she's good but would be a shame they don't cast a different body type for one of the few women's roles that asks for one.
They can put her on a Hollywood diet and she can be jacked in a few months.

She would have been the ideal Ellie, but by the time production started she was too old to play a 14 year old.

Physicality is one of the defining characteristics of Abby, it’s even part of her story. Not just a visual detail at all and it impacts the dynamic between them at a story telling level which even has a plot point dedicated to it.
And she’s not going to bulk up either, so her small frame will completely change the character and the dynamic with Allie.
It’s a shame imo specially because it’s HBO but unfortunately even them have a no muscles rule for white female leads.
Abbie only needs to be big in the games to justify the differences in gameplay though right? I mean, she can kill joel in a different way...why not? I don't see why it has to be a demonstration of physical strength in a TV show compared to the game.

But sure you can turn her into a cold calm overweight sniper who carries a folding chair on her back everywhere she goes. What’s the difference if she’s eating a donut when doing her thing.
