you know how we made a show about how our system has gotten so bad that people would risk death entirely for a chance at getting ahead in life?
well we decided it sounds like a fun idea

mazon has announced plans to start placing “limited advertisements” in TV shows and movies running on the company’s Prime Video streaming platform, to allow the e-commerce giant to “continue investing in compelling content.”
US-based Prime members will be able to revert back to an ad-free experience for an additional $2.99 per month on top of their existing subscription.Silicon Valley has finally got their teeth into streaming so that they can now bait-and-switch at ease just like traditional cable companies
The introduction of ads comes at a time when Amazon is undergoing cost-cutting across the company, and arrive as price increases and ad-supported tiers launch on competing streaming services.Revenue US$513.98 billion (2022)
Operating income US$12.25 billion (2022)
The low-interest free-meal era is over, and suddenly moving fast and breaking things is looking a little too risky.

Honestly, my Plex server never went away
Even when I have access to the service, Plex just works better

but yeah. maybe willa?
I never got out the game, but I use IPTV for live and Syncler for 4k stuff. Lunatic my brother for life for putting me onto a better IPTV service than the one I was using.
By Pizza Go To PostI don't get the big deal about Succession. It's good, well-made television but it's nothing amazing. I swear the way people talk about it it's supposed to be The Sopranos / Wire / Breaking Bad good. I'm on the third season and I'll finish it because there aren't that many episodes left but if this thing went on for 6-7 seasons I would've dropped it by now.
Oh yeah I agree.
Some genuinely great episodes and moments, but overall it is a far cry from my top 10 tv shows. Just too many mid episodes and imo, Kendalls character got boring very quickly. At least the other siblings managed keep being fun/dumb, with how stupid they were. But Kendall never learnt, and was constant cringe in the not good (curb) way.
But the worst thing, is the camera work. Stop shaking it all around you dumb cunt, reality doesnt shake like that all the time. It almost felt worse than TLOU.
(it is absolutely as good as breaking bad though)

By Lupercal Go To PostNever got the hype for The Office. What do you mean by awful?
Steve Carrell is awful.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostWhat do you mean by awful? Can't stand his face, his voice.
Everything about him screams at a desperate attempt to copy Jim Carrey but without the talent or the range.
He's a side character at best.
Succession slander? Pls. It's a tier one show - Sopranoss, The Wire, Succession (succession took Mr robots spot for me) it is sooooooooooo good and hilarious man, the story is secondary to the characters and how the develop which is my favourite type of show.
Had zero idea that this was the direction they were taking for Castlevania. I was already watching, but I'm def locked in.
By Lupercal Go To PostThe Continental might be one of the most boring shows I've watched in a long time.I lasted 20 minutes. Not sure why I bothered checking it out, I don't even care about JW, although I did enjoy 4. That's probably why.
By Zabojnik Go To PostI lasted 20 minutes. Not sure why I bothered checking it out, I don't even care about JW, although I did enjoy 4. That's probably why.It made me think of Suicide Squad the way they inserted a new pop song every 3 minutes because they know you're starting to nod off.
By Laboured Go To PostResponse to new Castlevania seems positive. Anyone started it?
I finished it.
I don't think a character reaches the levels of introspection that Isaac had, nor do I think that some of the drama felt as organic as Alucard and Dracula's familial issues. That said, I like it better than the other seasons.
What they did with Annette and her backstory, and how those themes connect with everyone else's, tips the scales for me.
Olrox and Drolta are just to fucking cool for words too.
By domino Go To PostGenV first ep was kinda hardWatched the first 3 episodes and it's good so far. The what are becoming the main 4 are all great but Emma and Jordan are my favourites so far.
boiling point is a great movie with another great performance from graham.
knew they were going to make a series, but i just found out the first episode (out of four) aired yesterday.
it's getting great reviews. will have to give it a watch.
from wiki:
The series picks up six-months after the film ends with Carly (Robinson) now running her own restaurant with former boss Andy’s (Graham) staff.[1]
The show explores themes of stress at work, mental health, invisible illness, self-harm, same- sex relationships, gender identity, addiction, alcoholism and poverty.
In a nod to the original film, the first episode opens with a ten minute one-shot sequence.
