The showrunner seems to be a fan of the manga and the cast are pretty enthusiastic about the show. But it's the same production which made the live action Cowboy Bebop.

Crazy how Avatar TLA(even Korra) doing mega numbers on streaming is what finally convinced Nickoledeon that these guys are pretty good. Now they have Avatar Studios and are making 3 movies.
And who knows? Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar has the potential to be good. It might turn out to be a show many of you end up enjoying. But what I can be certain about is that whatever version ends up on-screen, it will not be what Bryan and I had envisioned or intended to make.
Still remember how dirty they did LoK during it's best season(3). Changing the timeslot every week until they stopped airing it on TV all together and threw them on nick.com lmao
