By reilo Go To PostMy prediction for Succession finale: Matsson wins it all and fucks Shiv over by installing someone Mencken likes. Everyone loses because Shiv fucks it.
Tom?
By Crusher Go To PostTom?Maybe. Unless they go a deeply comedic route and it's one of the other C-level or just complete rando.
Great Succ ep. Three all timer speeches. Laughed so hard at Greg saying ‘is front right open’ or whatever it was. Also Roman in the car at the start to Shiv.
No idea how it ends. If I had to guess…
Roman leaks Kendall’s role in the waiter’s death. Tom fucks Shiv over one last time and neither get what they want. Greg fucks it with Greenpeace. Gerri becomes CEO. Most things like Mencken and Maatson end without resolution.
If anyone wants a clue as to how Jesse Armstrong likes things to end, check out the Peep Show finale. Two fucking losers continuing to lose, trapped in an ever-bitter cycle of misery.

I think at one point in the episode, Ken says something like "maybe the poision drips through?" That to me feels like the general thesis for the show in one line. I think Ken is destined to 'win', as in he gets business control of what he wants. He becomes his Dad (which I now think he actively wants) but loses his relationship with his family, he might get the kids but we all know that's terrible for the kids and the cycle begins anew…
I don't think it's the show to do some huge plot twist/reveal at this point. I think a lot of the stuff stays 'unresolved'

I would be ok with this.
Wasn’t the first scene of the show Kendall getting ready to be announced as the new CEO? Seems fitting that after all this time he gets it after having completely lost himself.

its a minor but funny inconvenience

By domino Go To PostI posted about in Tech thread but it's a step down from the HBO Max app. Lots of issues on Apple TV because they made some of the same dumb mistakes as when they launched HBO Max two years ago.

“We agree that the talent behind the content on Max deserve their work to be properly recognized,” a Max spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. “We will correct the credits, which were altered due to an oversight in the technical transition from HBO Max to Max and we apologize for this mistake.”
They should link to the patreon of all these content creators imo

By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostTaekwondo episode of Barry is killing me 😂
Finished the first season of Barry the other day. The lad is going to have a Wick-esque bodycount if this keeps up. It's good but man does it feel like a snowball rolling down the biggest snow slope of all time.
Silo has been solid, nothing more, nothing less. Episodes 1 and 2 with David Oyelowo and Rashida Jones are a cut above the other three released so far. I'm enjoying the world building and the web of mysteries presented (even as someone who's read the book) and I love how some of the characters are portrayed, although I definitely wouldn't put character development and relationship building down as the show's forte.
One thing the show's weirdly lacking compared to its literary counterpart is the oppressive atmosphere and general feeling of dread that's derived from the physical state of the silo itself, which is rusting and falling apart in the book, while it appears to be in pretty great shape in the show, generator troubles notwithstanding.
If you're on the fence, episode 1 will tell you exactly the kind of show it is and whether it is for you. All you need to watch.
Also, Rebecca Ferguson is attractive, Common should stick to music.

Wow.
I am glad Shiv came to her senses. Saved herself billions because she knew Ken would fuck it all.
So glad for my boy Tom.
While everyone else was busy fighting and playing games, he was actually working his arse off.

She didn't come to SHIT sense wise cause she has NONE
She just couldn't see Kendall win. It's a lifetime of sibling pettiness nothing more. She'd rather become her mother.
that was so uncomfortable at the end it actually made my stomach turn a bit
10/10 finale
tom da gawd tho. he was right last season kendall always gets fucked

Barry's series finale sure was something. Honestly ever since the time skip, it's been such a mixed bag. Starting to feel like even doing that was a mistake. I do like how Barry went out like a punchline. that was funny
Well, Hader and co swung for the fucking stars and I can appreciate it for that alone.

I need to let it marinade for a while, but post-finale I think Sucession is comfortably a top 5 all time show for me. It might make top 3.
Definitely top 10 for me. Hard to know exactly what it’d push out of a top 3/5 but it’s up there.
Mylod’s comments on the Youtube behind the ep is very telling, and nails what I thought was so successful about the show. It’s a tragedy, in the classical sense.
