First 2 episodes of Barry really solidify Hader as a one of the best director.s on TV Not a ton happens but they way all of it unfolds is incredible.
One scene that I thought was particularly well done is when Barry tries to get the officer to kill him. It's a close shot of Barry's face, we don't see the violence but we hear the beach/whale sounds calling back to his near death experience in season 3. The blood slowly dripping down his face, kid Barry running along the beach, Fuches. So good.
Also Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Michael Irby and Anthony Carrigan are so good lol. The Dave n Busters presentation by Noho Hank and Cristobal was hilarious.

It's better than Season 1 & 2 but the bar was so low it would be impossible to go any lower, haven't watched the final episode yet.
It's nice for nostalgia but the first 2 seasons really soured me on it, would've been great if they just made Season 3 instead.

Decided to binge three seasons of succession before catching up. Fuck me this show is so good, everyone shines in their own elements, I think I might cry when it ends. I think that's one of my favourite things is when a show gets you to or almost gets you to sympathise with really shitty people. Roman should be CEO by the way. Will comfortably nestle in my top 5 somewhere when all is said and done. Mr robot needs a rewatch to see if still think it's that good.
Also wife and I decided to start the crown now she's on mat leave. This show is bloody expensive isn't it, looks absolutely stunning. And I'd be lying if it wasn't tugging at the Jamaican in me and making me like the queen even more, they even do a good job of making Phillip seem like a solid husband to Lizzy (rip). It's reaaaaaaaallllyyy errrie watching it now though after everything that happened with Harry.
Also wife and I decided to start the crown now she's on mat leave. This show is bloody expensive isn't it, looks absolutely stunning. I really recommend the Korean show Big Bet, it stars Choi Minsik, who is one of the best Korean movie stars. It is on Disney+.
It is about a Korean guy who runs a casino in the Philippines. Gave some Soprano vibes at times, but never hit that next level. I think mainly because it is only 16 episodes long and some of the characters introduced felt rushed.
