I just finished reading Sharp Objects. Terrific book, only put it down when I started reading to go to the water when I was at the beach and barely stopped reading when I got home.
Is the show any good?

He is incredible. Haven’t seen any Rehearsal yet but Nathan For You is probably my favourite comedy since The Uk Office

By s y Go To PostBarely any reaction videos or discussion on the new better call Saul episodeStart of a new and final post BB four episode arc. Much lower stakes right now.
That bad?
I think it's well done. As always the craft that went into making the episode is top tier. Some great shots and montages in this episode. Excellent casting as well. Perhaps some people are put off by the pathetic and bland life Gene leads which is far removed from Saul and the cartels we saw last episode. It's thematic whiplash. We saw a little of Slipping Jimmy this week, and my prediction is that it's the start of Gene getting back in the game because he's just not cut out for laying low and living a regular life. Him getting caught scheming or his cover unraveling will probably be the climax of the show. Previous Gene flash forwards showed him being very careful and paranoid. I think that's over now, Slipping Jimmy is back.
What's weird to me is that when the show started, the Gene stuff was basically happening in the present. Now it's a period piece again
By n8 dogg Go To PostI think my favourite thing about BCS (and BB too is the craft of it. It’s just supreme filmmaking.Check out the official podcast if you'd like some behind the scenes insight. They very often go into detail on how they achieved certain shots.
Watching Star Trek Discovery. I’m on Season 2
I don’t know much about Star Trek but putting a wig on a Klingon might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.

Also, stop now
Guessing opinions aren’t that high on Discovery
I loved SNW so I thought I’d give this a shot
@inky that doesn’t look dumb bc it’s basically just a regular human with forehead wrinkles.

By DY_nasty Go To PostDiscovery season 2 is especially bad because it always seems like it can turn the corner
only thing turning in discovery are the heads of the bridge crew during those cuts where they just look at each other with the power of friendship.
I would've loved an anthology series like Fuller had intended. They basically try to do that later on but with the same crew and it sucks
Lot of what Strange New Worlds gets right has to do with its return to episodic storylines. I'm not going to be the guy saying watch 28 seasons of Old Trek but if you still got the itch, go though the TNG catalog and throw on an ep that sounds interesting. In Original Series and Next Generation especially, you really don't have to be caught up no matter where you jump in
Honestly I miss that aspect of old TV

The 5th of August is going to be a great day. The Sandman and Prey coming out on the same day.
I've always been curious about Sandman but never read it so I'm very excited about it.
Unfortunately it's going to take me a few days to watch it. Already have plans for that day and the rest of the weekend is going to be very busy.
By s y Go To PostYou ever watched Mr Robot n8? Peak film making
is it bearable for someone who hates rami malek’s face
Yeah that might be a deal breaker. He puts up one of the best performances ever but if you already hate his face, it'd be hard to make it through the 1st scene of the series
By s y Go To PostOnly 10 minutes into episode 2 and I can't believe what I'm watching10 minutes? You aren't even finding yourself upright on miracle status yet.
