This was ace tho 😂
By Hitch Go To PostWould be fantastic news for the Democrats and terrible for the Republicans, right?Ha you really don't get how Republicans always fall in line unlike Dems.
Imagine it'd be multitudes larger than any other third party I'm aware of, enough to significantly split the right wing vote. When is the last time any third party got anywhere in an election in the US, at least far enough to influence the big two?
My prediction is that Trump will end up enjoying not being President any more and have no intention of doing it again, but go along with a new party for the grift and the clout anyway. Are campaign-fund laws a constitutional thing or a party thing?
By Perfect Blue Go To PostYeah and the system fucking sucks lol. We also don't have a presidential system so the comparison doesn't really work. How are you feeling these days about Trudeau. I always knew he was a snake but you actually liked him so I'm curious of your opinion on him now.
Trudeau made electoral reform a big part of the 2015 election… didn't happen, though.
By Lunatic Go To PostHow are you feeling these days about Trudeau. I always knew he was a snake but you actually liked him so I'm curious of your opinion on him now.Pretty much the same, he’s been what I expected from the start. I was disappointed by failing to pass electoral reform though I had no illusions of it actually happening, so eh. I wouldn’t necessarily say I like the guy but he’s still far and away the best option as prime minister and has been since 2015. The country in general seems to like him and prefer him as PM over O’Toole and Singh at nearly 3 to 1. Don’t really envision this changing anytime soon.
Most of my ire these days is towards provincial politics. Federally I think the ruling party is doing pretty good considering the circumstances.
Pardons coming tomorrow. Broidy being pardoned too. Bannon got pardoned for grifting wall donations from Trumps base. He was found at sea on a Chinese billionaires yacht.
Stephen K. Bannon – President Trump granted a full pardon to Stephen Bannon. Prosecutors pursued Mr. Bannon with charges related to fraud stemming from his involvement in a political project. Mr. Bannon has been an important leader in the conservative movement and is known for his political acumen.

😭😂😭😂
This is a way more blatant and flagrant example foreign meddling than anything from the past 4 years of investigating russian election meddling. Blinken is a fucking psycho and he's going to get a ton of people killed.

That isn’t actually Trump. According to the QAnon people him and Biden did a face swap a la Face/Off and that’s actually Biden and “Biden” is actually Trump. When “Trump” (who is Biden) gets charged for crimes and convicted, that’s actually #QuidProJoe and the Biden crime family getting their comeuppance.

There was a cult in the 70s, can't remember which one, which believed that aliens have visited their founder and informed him that they would return on a specific date to abduct all the believers away to alien heaven. The cult got a decent number of followers, all of whom traded away their earthly possessions and gathered at the leader's house to be abducted on the promised day.
Obviously the time came and went and nothing happened. A good chunk of people left in disgust at how they were swindled, but a small handful remained, and for some reason became even more ardent believers in the cult, despite the most obvious proof that it was complete crap possible. They had invested so much of their identity in the cult that it was impossible for them to break away, and evidence against their beliefs was reacted against strongly.

That is about how cults normally work, you think all the Jonestown people all really believed in the communist utopia Jones was selling, or that Aum Shinrikyo all believed the world was gonna end on 1999
