Pence isn’t wrong. Trump isn’t mentally ill and incapable. At least no more than he was a year ago. He’s just horrible. Impeach

By diehard Go To Postwhy don't politicians ever just want to retire damn
By reilo Go To PostTerm. Fucking. Limits.Never gonna happen. No one willingly gonna sacrifice their own job security. If you gave me a six figure salary to do nothing I wouldn’t retire either.
And people are just too stupid to be like “hey maybe it’s not a good idea to vote for someone who is my great grandmothers age”
It's almost looking like our corporate overloads will allow impeachment to happen.
Fender, don't act now, but you might get that hall pass. The next door neighbor is yours.

The distinguished gentleman was right all along. Vote for the name you know. Doesn't matter if they're dead.

These are the law makers, surely, its obvious that Congress is compromised and can request better security.
My fucking office has better security - you can't just fucking walk in without checks and temperature checks etc.

By Not Go To PostArticle not readthese articles been clownery since last week. this coverage got more in common with a flavor of love finale than literally any sort of security incident and it's to the point where people are dismissing what must be common sense to follow along man
"It was like looking at evil" I am shaking. Wow.
can ppl like.... not get applause for throwing their shitty freshman year screenplay over their half-done reporting? you can cover a huge story without having to add the dramatic flair. It's still a huge event. They really just cruising through that without ever asking when the last live test for any panic room/alarm function was. Or what it was supposed to do in the first place.
Maybe, I dunno, ask why all these reps were doing entirely different things in response to this? There's a dozen varying responses from people who were just seen together minutes prior. Or we can push out some passive theory-crafting as to why an archaic compartmentalized alarm system didn't do anything. People do love a good conspiracy theory after all.
By Daz Go To PostThese are the law makers, surely, its obvious that Congress is compromised and can request better security.Again, these people went back to work the same day in the same fucking building lol. There were definitely certain obvious failures here, but if the immediate response was to resume grandstanding and calmly ask for resignations then maybe the reaction not matching the action is worth considering.

They announced an investigation into the shooting/use of force regarding the woman attempting to clear the barricade before anything else.
Like really? Sund is giving exclusive interviews already? People are getting slapped on no fly lists - like it's somehow harder to just pick them up at the hotel they checked into? It takes longer to clear an office building after a shooting spree than capitol hill after a mob strolls through it and kicks it in half the offices?
🙃 ok
But it's entertaining for sure. Still following along

It's an interesting chess decision for Mitch.
He has a chance to dagger Trump in the back and significantly increase the likelihood that his star fades/dies out between having no chance to run again and being de-platformed. Such a move would almost certainly give the Biden administration 4 years of full control of congress however, given Republican infighting resulting in a lack of unity needed to win in mid terms.
Backstabbing Trump is a bad political move in the near term for the Republican party, but might be very healthy in the long run if it allows for more moderate sensibilities to gain clout/control of the party long term.

By Laboured Go To Post(I assume this isn't to remove him outright?)No, after he is impeached by the House, the Senate has to vote on his removal. He already was impeached once but the senate didn't remove him.
By Laboured Go To PostThought as much.
Mitch has the votes ... too many smoke signals
