The best thing about Brady was the rights reaction.
Don't think there is any kind of sizable support for the homeless. No one really wants to be located by them in the city.
If by no one, you mean shitty rich people with inherited wealth, sure
First world capitalist nations punish you for either not being rich or for not surrendering your every waking minute to the will and profit of the rich. We're building prisons before free housing, because then at least we can get some slave labor out of the people who don't submit to starvation wages

I mean I'm just being honest mostly working middle class to wealthy people live downtown proper. They don't want to see homeless at all and definitely not in "their" parks.

Hey Dipro why has Anglela Merkel been in charge of Germany for like twenty years, what's going on with term limits and such
Also I know it's the party leader system but is the opposition really that shitty

Yeah I actually looked it up and this is what US law says: "It defines small business by firm revenue (ranging from $1 million to over $40 million) and by employment (from 100 to over 1,500 employees)." That is actually insane to me.

Holy shit, that makes a ton of sense lol
So even the "small businesses" you always hear about in the US are just mini-corporations, not mom and pop bakeries struggling to pay the lease

I find everything from the extent to which others feel comfortable with cutting into conversations to the degree to which some of them are quite obviously pissed to be eye-opening.
By DY_nasty Go To Postthe china flooding is fucked
nightmare shit with the tunnel in particular. sheesh
Drowning is nightmare fuel. An oncoming flood … yikes
i never post from reddit but here's one thread of many: https://www.reddit.com/r/CatastrophicFailure/comments/oq0vtv/a_4km_6lane_tunnel_in_china_packed_with_vehicles/
not graphic but unsettling af.
and keep in mind, that's just the entrance. there's still a whole giant tunnel worth to match all that

By i can get you a toe Go To PostAt first I was like what fucking tunnel that's open road and then I went "oh shit."apparently it flooded in under 30 minutes. happened right around 4 and the tolls wouldn't let cars through. the lack of any real evacuation notice and stuff just made bad worse everywhere. the witness accounts of it all suck tremendously as well. mentioned it elsewhere maybe but they let a whole plant get flooded and explode. repeatedly. footage of that is out there too.
just shitty all around because if its bad on camera its worse off
Over 2 feet in a single day, 8 inches of rain in a single hour, I can't even imagine it till I see the pics/video and I'm still just "wtf."

Who's outbidding you by tens of thousands of dollars for that home of your dreams? A hedge fund

Most houses have gone up in value..why not just sell your already expensive house to an actual family instead of some investor for a few extra bucks
By aka Espi Go To PostHomeowner also gets some blameI dunno about this take. Imagine you paid into a home for years can't really afford the property taxes anymore but would still like to live somewhere nice (or even the same city), or you're in debt, or you want to downgrade but even downgrades in the area you're looking at are pricey too, or you want to leave something for your kids as you retire into a smaller living space, or the hedge fund gets sneaky and makes it look like it's being sold off to a person with a family. This coupled with younger people constantly expecting to "upgrade" and price of living going up with no real matching in social security means that people will gravitate towards a larger bid. 🤷

Last time I helped a relative sell a house it was to a multigen fam so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. As long as people can sell their house for much more, they will do so and there's plenty of reasons why they'd do this that aren't all being a greedy fuck. Our society runs on money and plenty of people aren't going to turn down a substantial bid.
It's almost like the easiest regulation written: single family homes can only be owned by entities if it's for the sole purpose of corporate housing.
Done. I wrote the bill.
