By Fenderputty Go To PostBuying move ready, new and premium price is for suckers.New is better in Japan. No structural damage and a warranty. Plus if you do flip a home within 10 years it keeps much more value.

Gotta love an argument that it's wasted space that could go to housing, and then a solution that is to continue wasting that space that could go to housing but instead let the wasted space belong to the private sector

How is this a real article
The gap between the C-suite and the rest grew bigger, too. C.E.O.s in the survey received 274 times the pay of the median employee at their companies, compared with 245 times in the previous year. And C.E.O. pay jumped 14.1 percent last year compared with 2019, while median workers got only a 1.9 percent raise.
Palantir, DoorDash and Opendoor only began trading on the stock market last year. All three reported big net losses and their stocks are trading below recent highs. Yet the boards of all three companies granted the C.E.O.s. tremendous compensation packages.https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/11/business/ceo-pay-compensation-stock.html

The package unveiled Friday includes five measures targeting the different ways in which tech companies maintain market dominance. One bill would empower the Justice Department or the Federal Trade Commission to break up tech firms by forcing them to sell off parts of their business that could create a conflict of interest — potentially forcing Amazon to carve off house brands like Amazon Basics.https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/11/22529857/democrats-antitrust-big-tech-facebook-amazon-google-apple-competition-package-bills
Another bill would bar companies from giving their own services preference over their rivals, like Google boosting its own products in search results over competitors. Yet another bill would block companies like Facebook from buying up nascent competitors like in the 2012 acquisition of Instagram.

Critical race theory is the flavor of the month for the cultural wars? I have no idea what critical race theory is and have no intention googling or spending anytime on Wikipedia to read about it.
And there needs to be legislation to stop institutions like Blackrock from purchasing homes to hedge against inflation. And probably legislation to stop foreigners from buying property in the US. Basically we have to get the idea of home buying as not some investment where you park money but rather for actually... living in.
But with Manchin and senema? nothing substantial will be passed that doesn’t include funding for the military. Man, I hate politics.

It’s been in conservative circles for a few months. They don’t know what it is either, same with marxism which they also mention a lot. DeSantis banned the teaching of it in Florida today.
Critical race theory is basically a decades old culmination of historical studies that says racism is systemic and engrained in the US since the beginning.
Republicans don't like it because they have taken up a stance that racism is only a problem insofar that there is a few racist individuals in this country and not society as a whole.

US history is taught like slavery was barely even a thing. And then in 1869, it was over, so get the fuck over it already.
By reilo Go To PostCritical race theory is basically a decades old culmination of historical studies that says racism is systemic and engrained in the US since the beginning.Ah, I see. So it’s something Republicans/conservatives don’t want to talk about because it’s uncomfortable. This whole time i guessed it was something about diversity.
