Sad because he’s a husband, father and grandfather. But I don’t really know what he did other than make ignorant comments towards foreigners.

He had a keen interest in religion and conservation, despite dispatching a 2.5-metre (8ft) tiger with a single shot on an official visit to India in 1961, the same year he became president of the World Wildlife Fund UK.

I just wonder what it would be like to be reincarnated in an animal whose species had been so reduced in numbers than it was in danger of extinction. What would be its feelings toward the human species whose population explosion had denied it somewhere to exist. I must confess that I am tempted to ask for reincarnation as a particularly deadly virus.
At least he almost got his wish

Curious has Prince Philip done anything of note? I believe his crowning achievement was marrying the Queen.

By Xpike Go To Postquestion, why was he a prince and not a king
Because then I guess patriarchal monarchy rules would dictate he was more powerful than the Queen? Or something, idk
I have never given a shit about the royal family and I’m not going to start now

The title of King or Queen is reserved for an active monarch. Just marrying someone who is next in line for the throne does not give you the same title. You become just a consort. Basically your only real purpose is make babies. At the point of the birth of your first child you will be outranked by said child.

We’re not even overpopulated. Just everyone wants to live in the same 8 places.
Slaent could put together a little community out in North Dakota or some shit were like 6 people live in total. We got a doctor in Adam, data to run the grocery store, Fortune to teach us, DY to be the police. Think there’s nothing to do in ND? DJ Blackace got a club poppin.

The overpopulation myth is just a big fat racist dog whistle, which is actually kind of subtle for Prince Philip.
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostThe overpopulation myth is just a big fat racist dog whistle, which is actually kind of subtle for Prince Philip.I'm no Malthusian, but how on earth can you dismiss concerns about overpopulation as just being about racism? I think the concerns are quite realistic even if I expect technological advancement to render them moot
The problem isn't overpopulation, the problem is capitalism's endless stream of consumption and infinite growth. The planet is "overpopulated" in the sense that it is impossible to continue this mode of consumption on the current track we are in. And Philip's suggestion is to just kill all the plebs rather than change our unsustainable way of life so in that sense "overpopulation" is a thing.

Literally, every species on the planet suffers from cycles of over and under population as they expand and contract to take advantage of available resources.
I've seen the stories about settlers being adopted by the Commanche(?) and refusing to go back to settler life because of how superior their lifestyle was, but we don't know what the Commanche did to make their way of living so superior, and efforts to remove the profit motive of capitalism always just end up in alternate status seeking nightmares

It's well documented that sustaining a western quality of living and development everywhere is impossible for the planet.

Even if we uncovered the Commanche secret to happiness, we can't just tell people to abandon their fancy lives or dreams of fancy lives anymore
