By LabouredPatriot Go To PostI would hope this is what started the long investigation into him.
Robby Appleton, a comedian from Chicago, came forward on Tuesday saying he had created the Darla account to parody real Amazon Twitter ambassadors. “On Friday, I created a satirical Twitter account making fun of Amazon’s anti-union propaganda,” Appleton said in a tweet earlier this week. “I can’t wrap my head around how far this dumb Twitter account got,” he said in another.https://www.theverge.com/2021/3/31/22359338/amazon-darla-anti-union-worker-bessemer-alabama-comedian-parody
You guys!
Infrastructureweekday is FINALLY here!
Infrastructure
WASHINGTON — President Biden will unveil an infrastructure plan on Wednesday whose $2 trillion price tag would translate into 20,000 miles of rebuilt roads, repairs to the 10 most economically important bridges in the country, the elimination of lead pipes and service lines from the nation’s water supplies and a long list of other projects intended to create millions of jobs in the short run and strengthen American competitiveness in the long run.
Biden administration officials said the proposal, which they detailed in a 25-page briefing paper and which Mr. Biden will discuss in an afternoon speech in Pittsburgh, would also accelerate the fight against climate change by hastening the shift to new, cleaner energy sources, and would help promote racial equity in the economy.
I would've liked to think that "repairs to the 10 most economically important bridges in the country" would be something that was being done anyway.
More federal funding as opposed to making a states population pay it in taxes is probably what they're getting at. Also real repair project overhauls versus piecemeal shit.

What does this mean
Wolves make shitty kebabs idk
I'm kinda annoyed that Biden's infrastructure plan has as much allocated to EV incentives as public railways and transit. We need to invest far heavier into public transit of all kind over promoting car ownership even if it is a greener alternative.
It's missing the forest for the trees.

A lot of the nation still resides outside major cities and transport hubs, which is where the public transit infrastructure development will actually happen. Folks living in the rural areas aren't going to be seeing a dime of public transit investment. May as well build up EV infrastructure as fast as possible.

But it's an EV incentive and not green car incentive -- why don't hybrids qualify? It will basically amount to a tax cut for well-to-do people as EVs will be prohibitively expensive even after rebates for poorer people that need good, clean and safe transportation the most.
We need better public transit for those that cannot afford to have an EV and a charging station. It focuses the solution on the wrong problem.
And trust me, nobody in rural America is clamoring to buy EVs. Those that will buy one probably live in urban areas anyhow where public transit needs the most help.

EV’a will never been something other than a car for well to do folk unless the prices continue to fall. Part of that is keep tax incentives in place to drive economies of scale. Though hybrids should be included as they’re green.
Also from a jobs perspective ... working on fixing existing roads will create more labor than a couple high speed rail projects

I guess its my annoyance that there's no push for high speed rail. You can totally live in rural America and commute to a city job in a reasonable time if that was in play.
But nah we gotta keep pushing single occupancy commuter vehicles because who wants to share a cabin with the poors.

Rural American is the largest obstruction to high speed rail because they want stops added in bumblefuckistan lol
Don’t get me wrong, any added rail is good IMO.

By Not Go To PostIf Pete builds a shinkansen to Vegas before 2025 I take back everything I said about him
The rail project to Vegas is already planned and awarded (my company will be doing it)

It’s both a tax increase and a deficit increase lllololololol
There was time when I woulda probably used this to troll DY but maybe this is presidential material now.
Even economists favoring low rates on business acknowledge that the 2017 tax cuts did not produce much of an increase in investment. Gross domestic product grew at a rate of 2.4 percent in the two years leading up to the law and 2.4 percent in the two years after it passed.Shocking news: lowering corporate tax rate in 2017 did nothing
