The west has nuked the planet in search of economic growth and now we are passing the buck down to the developing countries and not letting them use that same pathway to develop.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostOh absolutely that’s totally a valid point. The west has nuked the planet in search of economic growth and now we are passing the buck down to the developing countries and not letting them use that same pathway to develop. While it may not be objectively incorrect to pass all encompassing policies that affect developing nations in the grand scheme of things the total carbon output is insurmountably small when compared to the western nations. It's also why I get annoyed when people talk shit about my country when we have found a way to be self sufficient without breaking any international laws. It's just that no direct taxation runs counter to EU governments policies. Also the EU ignores its tax neutral jurisdictions (Ireland, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Netherlands, etc) while focusing on a majority black/mixed countries in the Caribbean.
By Xpike Go To Postdamn i hate the environment nowYou don't have to but why should your country share the burden when you guys have been systematically repressed and manipulated. Economic reparations are in order to allow developing nations to thrive and develop economies that are in line with the current environmental realities. What is happening now is neocolonialism.
By blackace Go To PostI mean, it's the national flag. lol They had specific days where they required buildings to fly the flag. The flag of St George is the national flag.
Like the Old Glory, it might be associated with a bunch of horrible ass shit, but that's what is representing the country.
Not saying I agree with it, but seems like the reasons you stated why it wasnt the norm, are the exact reasons why they would
The other one is the flag of the Union which is now going to be over if Scotland passes its referendum. The UK is not a country, it is a political union, ironically not unlike the EU.
This new nationalistic stance is calculated (this has been the tory go-to move) - also why Scotland's first minister Nicola Sturgeon who is leading this charge for independence is being crucified and dragged in the papers.
And why do you need flags everywhere anyway? In case you forgot what country you are living in?

By Daz Go To PostThe flag of St George is the national flag. Are we pretending the UK is not a Sovereign country for the sake of making a point? I understand the whole countries within a country thing, but until it breaks up the the national flag of the UK is the union jack, no?

It doesn't take much to understand why they want flags about, it is much easy to control and manipulate people if the believe in a common belief. I didn't say I like propaganda, but I understand why it's used and was shocked it took this long.
First-year bankers are weighing up the costs. Starting on a base salary of roughly £50,000, analysts who regularly work 18-hour shifts, six days a week, will earn roughly £8.90 an hour before tax – less than the £10.85 living wage for London – unless they last until bonus season.
“If you don’t get your bonus, you’ll get paid less by the hour than a McDonald’s employee. And everyone knows about that, but it also increases the pressure, in the sense that people are scared of voicing concerns, myself included,” they said.

He really had no choice. NJ is like a 30-40 minute drive from me. Anyone from NY that wanted it could just take a short drive over there and spend money there instead. Not legalizing it here would be so much worse for him and the state
Now MTA and NYPD can rest easy knowing they can still abuse the overtime system and make 5x their salary with the new influx of tax dollars.

I understand the whole countries within a country thing, but until it breaks up the the national flag of the UK is the union jack, no?No ones pretending anything, just pointing out the fact that people use the term United Kingdom, Britain, England etc interchangeably, and all are different things. So when we talk about nationality on this island, it's more complex than it appears. Go to Scotland and call someone British, and you might find out what a Glaswegian kiss means.

The myth of the flag-shyness is also misplaced, the declaration to be overt in its use is just that, a rallying call to the gammonites so the government can get its CON +4 in the polls.
Calling someone something they consider they aren't is vastly different from flying a flag on government buildings.

Depends on if they can show these changes affect thing on racial bases. Probably not though. All that said, such blatantly egregious attempts to suppress voting can have the opposite effect. People will be mad
By Daz Go To Postcan this be challenged or repealed? With a sweeping voting rights act that can pass after the senate adjourns without 41 people requesting that it doesn't, yeah
Then you get scotus, but at that point Dems might get bold and push judicial reform with the simple majority. Highly doubt it!

Was watching this video, pretty informative. Didn’t know NYC ships it’s trash to places like Ohio and South Carolina. The waste to energy stuff too is really cool.

Hoping Georgia voters feel similarly. The GOP there is still pushing pro trump rigged shit while pissing of the people that just outvoted them two elections in a row.
