That luckily doesn't mean much. Not at Chelsea or most elsewhere. How's pardews contract looking these days anyway?

The Athletic says Chelsea offered the job to Ralf Rangnick last month on a 4 months interim basis until the end of the season.
Pray for Declan.
Lampard wanted the club to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and pushed for him again ahead of January. But some at the club had reservations about re-signing the player who was released from the academy as a teenager.
In December The Athletic were told: “He needs to stop pushing for Rice or he’ll lose his job. The hierarchy are very wary about the potential embarrassment of buying back an academy reject at huge expense.”
Lampard was given a job he wasn't qualified for, the idea that he would have walked out is hilarious. Could you fucking imagine

i couldn’t handle reading this and dealing with Fat Frank at the same time. Will check out
United to buy Grealish now just to spite Dortmund.
Edit. Also unlucky on getting sacked fat Frank, only the arrogant way you spoke to the press was worse than your tactical knowledge... or man management... or team selection... or transfers... or your post match interviews.

What a deluded club
Still want Sancho, yes please. Should be priority number one again next season, but keep an eye on Matic replacement and a CB too.

Agree. I don’t feel sorry for him. He’s only where he is due to pure nepotism by his dickhead uncle.
Did Lampard do a good job at bringing in youngsters, or was it a forced hand? How many of those players he was lauded for bringing through are playing regularly or flourishing this year? Mount and maybe Tammy?

I think he did do a good job, yeah. The transfer ban forced his hand a little, but he still played Mount, Tammy, James, Gilmour a fair amount over the likes of Kovacic/Jorginho/Giroud/Azpi.
I think he has done a decent job tbh, but I can see why he’s gone. Would I have sacked him for the performances and the bad run of form? Probably not. But it’s the lack of accountability he has taken in public that I think means he can’t continue.
Wonder if/when Rodgers gets offered a ‘big club’ job again? Not that he should take it; Leicester are in a better place than Arsenal and Chelsea right now for sure. Wonder if the allure would be too much for him.
Abramovic's expectation is to win the title. The only reason that expectation was not imposed on Lampard last season was the transfer ban. This season they spent a fortune on players and have been worse than Aston Villa. Lampard can't complain, he knew what the expectations were. I bet it pissed Abramovic off to see his manager downplaying title talk after spending all that money.
Mount and James have decent prospects of being first teamers. Gilmour and CHO can also make the grade if they get the time and coaching.
Tammy is up in the air. He's had a decent season, but I don't think he's convinced anyone yet that he can be a striker at the level we want and need him to be.
So yeah, Lampard did alright on that score - certainly better than any of the managers in the 15 years previously. It'd be a decent legacy for him if even 3 of those players are established as part of a successful XI in the next decade.

By LabouredPatriot Go To PostKekekekekeLol. Would you look at that. Who would have thought that insisting on 120m in unprecedented events caused by the pandemic was not feasible. Goodluck getting that even in the next two transfer windows.
Sancho for 60 million to UTD with 20 million + in extra clauses like winning the PL, CL etc
Let’s do it.
Let’s do it.
Has Roman - or his ghost writer - ever left a statement with regards to a sacking before? That made me raise an eyebrow.
Tbh I'm not sure we'll even go in for Sancho this summer. It's been another season with no gate receipts so income will surely be down. Just don't have the money for it.

If we got 50/60 that’d be nice.
Liquidity is going to be really interesting in the transfer market this summer. Seems like so many clubs are going to look to sell first, and if no one is buying there'll be no money moving around the system to actually fund any deals. Plus of the two clubs that could pour money in without worry, PSG and City, one will put everything on Messi which won't allow for any other deals to be done.
