By Daz Go To PostThis club is so weird. Was during a celebration with the supporters after the 2019 season, so it isn't that weird. This edit of the video is so good.
Either way, video is a good call back to Pep dancing with Bakero's wife back in the day after they won the European Cup in 1992. Lorea Bakero (Bakero's daughter) posted it some years later.
By Bungie Go To PostIt's the German players that never seem to make itIt did take Sane about half a season to find his footing so there may be some hope yet for the Chelsea players, but Werner looks incredibly underwhelming especially given his age -- he really should be mature enough to have been able to hit the ground running. Sane was 20 when he came to City and Havertz is just 21, so a little acclimation makes more sense.
Werner is just 24 m8, going into a new team with no fans and a manager that doesn't seem to know how what his strengths are

Leicester with 39 points after half the season played. Real chance for them to get top 4 this season; nice to see them established up the top there.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostChelsea now fighting it out in the relegation battle with us.Shanks-kun how do you feel about our new saviours ESR and Saka?
By Bungie Go To PostWell none of them really stand out do they?
Ballack was average. Sane was alright but it didn't exactly end well. Mertesacker was average. Lehmann average. Huth average. Ozil… Boateng average. Ziege flop. Chan average. Holtby average. Karius LOL. Meyer flop. Rudiger average. Schurrle average. Podolski average.
edit: Gundogan is probably the best one to be honest. I forgot him
Yet 5 WC winners one EC, 3 WC runner-ups - must be painful for an english soul to see all those so-called world class PL legends to be so empty handed on the international stage.

This is breathtaking
By Lunatic Go To PostShanks-kun how do you feel about our new saviours ESR and Saka?
Saka has been outstanding, so dangerous when he has the ball and is actually starting to score. ESR has been a revelation. Remember seeing him a few years ago and thought he was miles away. He really has done a fine job linking the midfield to attack. The big worry now is that we have no replacement for him haha.
They still are nowhere near the finished product, so really is exciting to see what they can become.
I’m really over the moon, because I always love born and bred Londoners/ Arsenal youths making it into the first team and delivering. Was why I was so big on Iwobi and Reiss. We haven’t had anyone really deliver since Jake, and the last consistently top quality player we developed was Cashely.
I just hope Arteta can keep developing them.
You?
By n8 dogg Go To PostLehmann was great
He had some decent spells, but he also cost them a Champions League win and ultimately got benched for Almunia
By Laboured Go To PostYes, "great" would be far from the term I'd use. "Passable"? "Inconsistent"? "Actual liability"?
I think his stock was high initially because he was part of that team that wasn’t losing games
I liked Lehmann a lot for the first few years. Dwindled after that.
Think describing Sane and Ballack as ‘alright’ does them a bit of a disservice too. Guys contributed fairly heavily to successful seasons for their clubs.

The 'Mansour family' investing in FC Nordsjælland, the club that has probably been most progressive when it comes to lgbt rights, human rights and so on in denmark. big lol

By rossonero Go To PostThought Lampard would be gone by now. Why don't clubs want to hire Allegri? Weird…It'll never happen but I wouldn't mind Allegri at Madrid, always liked him.
By R436 Go To PostThe Athletic are saying we're looking for a German manager. 🤷♂️Tuchel is available
By /bacon Go To PostTuchel is available
That'd be a disaster - he'd almost certainly pick fights with the hierarchy, and he's not as good as Conte to mitigate it.
We'll probably hire him.

Sane you're probably right, he did win some individual awards. Ballack didn't seem anywhere near the player he was in Germany. Maybe it was his age, injuries, from my recollection I don't remember him being all that good.
Also, I've looked at the Premier League PFA team of the season lists, and I'm only seeing one German player appear on it. And that was one appearance back in the 94-95 season
Rangnick would be the perfect fit for Chelsea given their young prospects and great academy that has been incredibly underused. I hope it doesn't happen.
Tbf to the bundaslolga, Leno has been good for us so far.
Auba's been great, but he was already an estabilshed player when we signed him.

I hated him in his last season in Milan, with the weird tactical choices and picks. But there is no denying that his first season in Milan was great and his seasons in Juventus were very good as well. He even took them to a CL final.

He's got a relatively decent job in America, right? I'm not sure we'd be able to convince him to come to our basket case.

Seems we're trying to get Odengard for the rest of the season, would be good to have ESR and him there
