By Cleff Go To PostSpanish media say Barca will have to pay a €39m loyalty bonus to Messi on the 15th of July.Surely they can't keep him around. Greatest player of all time and all that, but they're just too broke
Well they have to pay it regardless of whether he stays or goes because it's a part of his loyalty bonus and he'll have seen out his contract. But yeah they can't afford for him to stay now anyway.

Deadline day shenanigans are in full swing. Apparently João Pereira is signing for us again after ending his contract with Trabzonspor. Rumor has it that it's just for this season, in May he will retire and start his managerial career probably managing one of our youth teams or the B team.
But the big talking point is if Paulinho from Braga will sign for us today. He has been Ruben Amorim's biggest wish since the summer, things have been switching between on and off for the past few days but it seems now that it's definitely on.
RTP (one of the, if not the most, reputable news sources in Portugal) is claiming that Paulinho is doing his medical at Sporting right now, Braga will apparently get 12M + Christian Borja on a definitive transfer + Sporar on loan.
The worst part of this is we play Benfica tonight and all this last minute deals might make us either go with Tiago Tomás as the only available striker or have Paulinho in the bench without even training with the squad.

Feels weird to see Liverpool be part of the yellow ticker scramble after all these years of lights being out early on deadline day.
Looking like Ozan Kabak is going to Liverpool. They put in a massive bid for Demiral, too, but Juve are happy to let him rot on the bench instead of taking the money.
Seems Mustafi will be gone to Schalke to replace the guy Liverpool is buying
Probably one of the best days in this club's history if true

Can't believe somebody is going to pay real money for Mustafi, I thought for sure we'd have to cancel his contract.

You should look up how much we’re in debt m8
By n8 dogg Go To PostYou should look up how much we’re in debt m8problem is Schalke doesn't has a "plan" on how to deal with it because they don't have enough income to take care of monthly expenses + debt. No CL/EL, no fans in the stadium, and probably a relegation to 2nd division
they are in deep shit
on the other hand, they have an amazing academy, so going down + not having money to sign players from other clubs will probably make them better in the long run

I don't think Evans is particularly good, but he'd be miles better than anything we've seen from Rojo. Would've been fit for more than 3 months at a time as well.
Some good #manmanagement from Olé. Praising Diallo's performance while also bigging up another player. Hugill's record is excellent too. Only 17, but has scored 8 goals in 3 starts for United's U23 side.
Also insane that he never got sent off for them
Rojo with Man Utd, Costa with Chelsea and Suarez with Liverpool. No reds cards iirc.

By Vini.lad Go To PostRojo was already bad before United signed him. Insane that United went for him.LVG, for all the hype, was an appalling judge of talent.
Love it when new and old quotes pop up from him that basically amount to 'we were the most attacking team in the league, we had more of the ball than anybody else.'
Just a bizarre way of thinking about football, and he was a formerly elite manager at a huge club.

I believe the commonly used description of Evans towards the end of his time at United was "ex-professional"
