it's supposed to come out over here in the same week.
looking forward to it.
i also don't think 2049 was all that.
the original (well... the final cut, anyway) is the far superior film.
great movie.

By n8 dogg Go To PostBlade Runner 2049 7/10I want everyone to remember how much Darth n8 sucked off The Last Jedi.
Blade Runner 6/10
TLJ is better than Blade Runner
But nothing is better than Paddington 2
Except Bloodborne
And Patrice Evra

That is actually a pretty spot on ranking. I'd maybe rank Arrival below Enemy, but only because I hate the timeskip "ruse" in the beginning. 2049 is a drag to watch and after seeing in the theater I'll never touch it again.
all mgs are 11/10s
from software games are no fun at all
TLJ is trash, just as TFA was. ROTS is Space Jam 2 tier.
Mando is actually the best star wars thing since Empire.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostYo this must be the trailer for the Euphoria generation
By LFMartins86 Go To PostAgain, thank you England.
Will be interesting to see Denzel Washington doing an impression of Denzel Washington reading the lines of Macbeth.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostDirected by Joel Coen? Okay, I'm interested.Frances McDormand being in it should have been a giveaway
Hope they keep as much of the script as possible. Think the Kurzel film cut too much in lieu of action. Macbeth has some of Shakespeare’s most beautiful and horrific imagery and is just so meticulously and economically structured. Love it. Love it more every time I read it and every time I teach it.
This cast, allah
Denzel Washington as Lord Macbeth
Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth
Brendan Gleeson as King Duncan
Corey Hawkins as Macduff
Moses Ingram as Lady Macduff
Harry Melling as Malcolm
Ralph Ineson as The Captain
Brian Thompson as Young Murderer
Sean Patrick Thomas as Monteith
Lucas Barker as Fleance
Kathryn Hunter as the witches
Alex Hassell as Ross
Stephen Root
Kathryn Hunter is incredible.

By FligureSkatingFlan Go To Post‘Updated’ take on Shakespeare is the worst genre of film.Like She's The Man with Amanda bynes?
By Daz Go To PostDidn't they do a Macbeth film recently with Fassbender?Yeah and it was so forgettable lol.
Throne of Blood and Orson Welles' Macbeth is really all you need. Make something new ffs.
I think Fassbender and Cotillard (and Harris) were very good. I liked the portrayal of Macbeth as a thug, a soldier unbefitting of kingship.
I really enjoyed the adaptation of Coriolanus that released a few years back. More adaptations of lesser known Shakespeare works would be great... like, give me a black comedy Timon of Athens, or really any of the problem plays.
I don’t think there’s been a truly great English language Macbeth yet, not on the level of Branagh’s Hamlet or Luhrmann’s R+J, so happy for them to plug away. Coriolanus was very good, yeah.
Best Shakespeare film is Ran. Brando’s Caesar is very good too.
