By diehard Go To PostThe last King Kong movie was far from good but still way more enjoyable than the total garbage that was the last Godzilla movie.
That Godzilla movie was actually impressive in how boring it managed to be.
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostThat Godzilla movie was actually impressive in how boring it managed to be.are you thinking of the Elizabeth Olsen one? That one was kinda boring but the last one "King of Monsters" was basically a high budget B movie. Which honestly sounds a lot better than it actually was.
i wish it was a high budget B movie Godzilla flick, instead it was one of those where the thing you went to the cinema for shows up for like 20 minutes total and most of the movie is spent on humans you don't care about and they keep cutting away from the giant monsters fighting to show the boring humans

Oh yeah, I meant the first one with Cranston.

Was the Void good?
By Apollo Go To PostWas the Void good?
For a low budget horror I thought it was decent. Nothing more. I enjoyed what it was driving at.

By Freewheelin Go To PostWatched 99 Homes tonight, decent film. Garfield was really good.
Which garfield did you watch? i just watched Garfield 2 a tail of two kitten a few days ago and i liked it, but not as much as the first. The focus clearly isn't on Garfield, but the castle storyline, which is far less interesting than the conflict between Odie and Garfield from the first film, and much less thrilling than Garfield's infiltration of Happy Chapman's complex.
The villain from Garfield 2 is forgettable at best. I can't even remember his name, but his motivation to renovate the estate is just boring and not as good as Chapman's motivation to steal Odie. Prince is a way worse supporting character than Jon, and the bulldog that Garfield meets is obviously a shallow attempt to recapture the magic of Garfield and Nermal's interactions from the first film.
Overall, Garfield 2 is a movie that, I think, fails to justify its own existence and therefore falls behind the first installment of the franchise, singlehandedly killing the series.
First time I saw The Void was high out of my mind with some friends and almost lost my marbles right at the beginning when the bloke gets shot and his soul gets a dmt express ticket to the other side. I didn’t make it after that, it was hitting too close.

By Daz Go To PostMinority ReportI need to rewatch that. I remember liking it when it came out but my opinion changed a lot after reading the story it was based on.
Still holds up
Could have used a mouse though.
The story was so much better.
I remember really liking that John Anderton actually killed who he they predicted he was going to kill because he didn't want the destruction of the system he fought so hard to defend. My opinion now is probably going to be completely different because I am not the same person I was then.

I really liked it, would be a perfect double feature with The Big Short.
Garfield kind of disappeared, last noticeable thing he was on was Under The Silver Lake and that was shot in 2016.
He is a pretty good actor, probably got burned a bit for the failure of the Amazing Spider Man movies but he is probably the best thing about those movies.

First 7 minutes of the fellowship of the ring almost bored me to death.
I'll try again on the weekend.
I'll try again on the weekend.
If I watch FotR too soon after the last time, I get bored of the Shire section.
If I've not seen it for a few years, it's comfort food in cinema form. Got a week off soon, might smash through the trilogy again. Are they on Netflix or Prime? Got the extended editions on DVD but think the theatrical cuts are miles better.

Adam Wingard is capable of doing good movies, he has proved that with You're Next and The Guest.

Yeah always liked Garfield, he's excellent in Silence.
Silence is a masterpiece, but yes I think it would have been even better with a few stronger actors. Garfield and Neeson very good but Del Toro and DDL are better of course. Asano, Ogata and Tsukamoto the cast standouts.

You can get your dose of Jared Leto next week with the release of The Little Things and that one actually looks good.
My coworker is gonna be crushed. She was just telling me how she was mad that it got delayed in the first place and now she has to wait even longer
Watched Long Shot tonight.
One of those comedies where you instantly forget about it afterward but while watching it, you laugh a few times. Eh, it was pretty enjoyable and the chemistry between Rogen and Theron was good fun.
