Whole thing just felt low in energy. Jordan's acting wasn't really charismatic enough. It was kinda flat throughout, tbh. Had a couple cool scenes tho.
I liked Mortal Kombat a lot. It is exactly what I wanted it to be: violent, full of nods to the game, and just downright dumb fun. The fatalities were awesome.

I like sci fi movies like Ex Machina , Blade Runner 2049 and Live.Die.Repeat. Does 'HER' count? I like that. I'm looking at a list and it also lists 'Children of Men' and 'Under The Skin' as SciFi(I thought it was more horror) but I like that too. I wouldn't call 'Annihilation' good but it's not bad either.
I've got 2001 on 4k Blu-Ray so it's on the list and I'll eventually watch Alien.
Edit: It's been like 15 years but I remember liking 'Existenz' too.

Some of the best music too. The Rock's "You're Welcome" took me by complete surprise. I fell off the Disney Pixar/animated train pretty hard - it seems to be mostly about feels. But Moana strikes the right balance of its classic animated 3 act structure.
