Only other actors close are Hoult and Kaluuya, Hoult is fine but seems to have found his level around X-men, Kaluuya is great, but I'd still put Patel ahead
By JesalR Go To Post100%Hoult is really good in Mad Max and The Great. I would say X-Men is his worst work lol

By JesalR Go To Post100%I'm not seeing how Patel is more successful than Kaluuya. Especially recently with his roles in Get Out and Black Panther.

The problem about Widows for me is that it had way too many plotlines. It was adapted from a tv series and it shows.
By Dr Espi Go To PostGood. Fuck the Oscarslol
Like I need some old white men to tell me what movies are good. That’s what I have slaent for
It must be one of the oldest group of winners in the four acting categories for a while
Daniel - 32
Frances - 63
Yuh-Jung - 73
Anthony - 83
However in 1982, the winners were
Henry Fonda - 76
Katherine Hepburn - 74
John Gielgud - 77
Maureen Stapleton - 56

I really liked Widows as well, but there was certain plotlines that the movies could have without, as well there is a huge dissonance where all of the stuff was happening while no one else knew about it, like the police
Daniel Kaluuya was OK to be hones, just acted like another villainous thug
Its really bizarre seeing Yuh-Jung Youn winning an Oscar after decades of me watching in soapy Kdramas which she was amazing in.

Enjoyed that Fatal Attraction. Women be crazy!
Funny that Michael Douglas randomly opens a drawer 1h 43 minutes into the movie and there's a revolver in it. 🤔
There's an alternate ending that isn't a silly horror ending, it's probably better.

good to see that kong did better than those dreadful DC movies even if it wasn't all that great either.
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostI really don't like the DC movies much but I actually thought Kongzilla was worse than them.Yea outside of the last 30 minute fight, Godzilla vs Kong was terrible. The human plot is about as bad as it gets.

Mortal Kombat might almost be as bad as WW84.
Still mad I wasted my Saturday night watching that shit

I wasn't a huge fan of best picture winner Nomadland. Lots of very nice shots of the American wilderness, but the actual story didn't really impress me. Didn't help that I'd quite recently watched Paris, Texas which seemed like it touched on a lot of the same themes as Nomadland but much, much better
By LabouredPatriot Go To PostIs Cole Young in Paris, Texas?well there are young people, but that's about it. So no
Paris, Texas will ruin most movies for you. It's an incredibly beautiful movie every step of the way.
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostWatched Promising Young Woman. Mulligan was great, but other than that it was a bit of a stinker.Yup, thought the same.
By faridmon Go To PostThe only good DC movie is Shazam!if we're talking dcu, absolutely
Fight me!
By data Go To Postif we're talking dcu, absolutelyYeah I meant DCU
I guess the Nolan ones don't count
Haven't seen Wonder Woman 2, Shazam or Josstice League, but MoS/BvS/WW/ZSJL all range from mediocre to trash. Aquaman was good fun.

Majority hispanic audience in the states
Demon Slayer‘s audience skewed 59% male, 73% between 18-34 years old, with a diversity mix of 35% Hispanic, 27% Caucasian, 21% Asian/other and 17% Black.

BB was decent.
TDK had far too many people idolising The Joker.
TDKR was actually bad but lives on through the sheer power of memes.
Ed Wood is fucking hilarious. Burton's last great film imo and maybe Depp's last great performance too (I liked him as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates films but one of them was enough imo)
