Un Prophete is the only exception for me.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostIf we are ruling out genres, I've never liked gangster moviesEverything or just specific stuff like heist, mafia/mobster movies etc?
By DY_nasty Go To PostI'm still not over how bad Fury was… Legit made me forget about Hurt Locker.
I don’t get it. What’s the connection?
By FortuneFaded Go To PostIf we are ruling out genres, I've never liked gangster moviesi hate westerns and refuse to watch any.
By Pennywise Go To PostEverything or just specific stuff like heist, mafia/mobster movies etc?Generally the mafia/mobster movies. Goodfellas, The Godfather, etc.
By DiPro Go To Posti hate westerns and refuse to watch any.
The worst.
If the first half of Full Metal Jacket counts as a movie by itself, it would be the best war movie for me.
By Kidjr Go To PostThe worst.me or the genre.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostYou are thinking of The Thin Red LineDude is a piece of shit pushing QAnon theories at right wing conferences.
By DiPro Go To Postme or the genre. Both can be true
I'm not a huge fan of old westerns.
I rather see modern stuff like Deadwood, Hateful 8, Bone Tomahawk etc.
Only thing that would remotely count as older western movies that I actually like are Bud Spencer & Terrence Hill movies.

"Each nominee's gift bag will contain an NFT, or non-fungible token, that authenticates a 3D digital tribute to the late actor created by artist Andre Oshea. The NFT itself will then be auctioned with proceeds going to The Colon Cancer Foundation, which fights against the same disease that took Boseman's life at age 43 last summer. "

Genre ofc lol
Except the good the bad and ugly. And I may have been like 8 when that came out, not sure how well it would hold up?

By cRrusheR Go To PostI don’t get it. What’s the connection?bad war movies that get a pass?
even Allied was better than both and that was just Brad Pitt winging it on location
From the nonsense tank battles to the hilariously bad scenes like war waifu, ss kid, and guesswelljustdie in Fury to Hurt Lockers chaplain ride along, im eod but also a sniper btw, grab my sidearm and go out for a stroll, etc
They share the same space as cringe war movies like Hacksaw Ridge
By Kidjr Go To PostGenre ofc lolm8, that film came out in the sixties.

at least both are westerns.
Favourite war films: Apocalypse Now, Casablanca, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Grand Illusion, Paths of Glory, Stalag 17, To Be or Not To Be, Foreign Correspondent, and From Here To Eternity. More recent stuff is The City of Life and Death, The Pianist, Taegukgi, and Son of Saul (if that counts).

Hurt Locker might be a bad war film but it's a great film. At the very least a very exciting one, I still remember how I felt the first time I saw it.
