By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostCar Avengers looks fun.
Don't insult the family like that. The F&F movies are actually entertaining
By domino Go To PostI think I'd recommend another Paige film to folks…
is it actually good? i figured it was some direct to DVD WWE garbage
Yeah it’s decent. Really good lead performance
By domino Go To Postall these Rock movies and nobody mentions Walking Tall. easily his best oneNah, it was The Rundown (or Welcome To The Jungle, depends on where you live).
Pain & Gain was pretty good too
Boiler Room is a very underrated movie with Vin Diesel on it.

i went in expecting it to be shit, and my interest in wrestling is close to zero (although I was well into it as a kid). it's pretty good! good cast.
it's nowt special but its a lot better than it really has any right to be.
Behind Enemy Lines.
More solid than I remembered and Owen Wilson is pretty good here too and low-key influencial for COD4 and probably even GTA4.

Nobody is pretty funny, the dude who wrote it is making BANK off making slight variations to his 'middle-aged white man is secret not-so-super hero but only because Russians pissed him off oh and here's a dog/cat oh shit and why not a muscle car as well' story.
It was ok, took itself less seriously than the John Wick films but it's impossible not to compare them. Rza's character is exactly how I imagine Rza would write a character for himself as well.
You know that story about Dwayne Johnson putting in his contracts that he's not to take a beating in any of his roles? I feel like Rza would 100% have a similar one forgetting shot, saying "shit I got shot!" but it not bothering him at all and then making a quip about it after they win their fight while all the characters give each other a cheeky smile and a pat on the back.
The final action sequence is a hoot. Just doesn't even care about not being stupid as fuck and is better for it. But in terms of quality it's much closer to JW3 than 1 or 2 unfortunately.

Trial of The Chicago 7 was....alright. A bit boring, as it's mostly just endless shots of people overacting in rooms and there's no interesting characters. But it's a period of American history I find quite fascinating.
Watched Nomadland and felt like Terrence Malick was out-Malicked. Great movie. Hauntingly beautiful.
By Hitch Go To PostBroken Arrow is still funThe second R-rated movie I ever saw
Gotta love a movie that doesn't even try to hide the mannequins
By Hitch Go To PostBroken Arrow is still funI have to believe that movie was made for Brandon Lee

Christian Slater just seems weird as an action hero
There's a bit where he jumps over a barrel and he legit moves like Stephen Segal post-Russia. Also a few slo-mo shots of three foot jumps and rolls.
Gonna watch Face/Off next week

By DiPro Go To PostJust got done watching all best picture nominees. Very solid bunch of movies but no real standout.
Only watched one (literally right now), Mank. It looks stunning, is made wonderfully, is very well acted... but I have no idea who it's for or what the point of it was. I don't see what attracted Fincher to it other than it being his dad's work.
i feel the exact same way. seems like a weird attack on Orson Welles too since it's still very much disputed who actually wrote most of the movie yet they present it very clear cut.

Mad Max: Furiosa filming in June confirmed, billed as an epic saga. Chris Hemsworth the second billed star. Wonder is he playing Max?

I think the rumor is Max isn't in it right?
By Apollo Go To PostI think the rumor is Max isn't in it right?Well it is a prequel, so it'd be pretty contrived to have Max there.
i hope anya gains some weight because she is looking emaciated on her instagram.

Hoped or thought they'd reconcile, they seemed like a lovely couple. My ex and I had coffee with them once.
